Hi Friendos,

I'm Phrost - am in my 30s - work for a video game developer - and I love POE.

I've been playing POE for about 1 year now. Hit 36 in the past couple leagues and planning to do it again in this one. Favorite league was delve because I really enjoyed fossil crafting.

Two main methods:
1) High EV crafting - items and types vary by league, but essentially buying bases to craft on which you can create a substantially more valuable item than the cost of the base + crafting mats
2) Flipping on the market - identifying underpriced items, purchasing them, and reselling for substantially more than they were purchased for

This was my first mirror-tier helm that I self-crafted. I ended up selling it as shown in the SS for 240 exalts in Betrayal League because I got bored of running labs trying to hit the RF enchant. The person who purchased it later finished the helm hitting conc and T1 life and has since had multiple copies made.




> How can you contribute to the guild?

I can provide crafting advice and perspectives on things I've found very valuable. I enjoy squad-play to get high-EV item finding from play. Have end game boss-killers (Uber elder, etc.) if people need help.

Favorite aspect of the game is seeing how much currency I can generate over the course of a league. Second favorite is league reset weekend where I race to grind to end-game as fast as possible.

The first league I started playing as breach. I played on and off after that, but breach is the best - I love lootspolsions

I'm not very good or focused on this. I play the game to enjoy it, and I feel that continuous grinding currency and make me bored very quickly. So I focus on whatever aspect I like for that league.

I tend to just vaal everything or give it away at the end of a league

Loved playing TS back when double dipping was a thing. But my favourite aspect is probably making hideouts or collecting MTX. I can fiddle with my HO for days. Soulrend looks awesome, so I'd try it soon. Currently doing minions - i've always liked minions and totems

I joined in Bestiary last year, Incursion was my first full league and I managed to play enough to accumulate a HH in my first season mostly through grinding end game maps as RF and WF MFer in Burial Chambers.

Seeing as I have only played 3 Leagues (Incursion, Betrayal and Synthesis)

Incursion was full of mistakes and wasted currency. However I am very particular while buying items I swapped characters from RF to MFWF to Blade vortex and the best currency I made was swapping characters buying good deals and when I went to sell the items I made about 50ex doing this and bought a HH in my first season. It took me atleast 2.5 Months to do this though.

Delve I did not play because I played WoW Expansion which was released around the same time.

Betrayal I was a bit more casual however I managed to grind up kill uber Elder and Generate wealth with a good league starter only played for about 1 month casually so I did not generate a large amount of currency.

Synthesis has been my first serious league. I took the first 3 days off work for the league start even and got ahead of the curve and made some serious money early on. I was higher level then most and made my first bit of money from just grinding maps and filling out my atlas. However I then got into crafting and I got ahead of the curve on figuring out how to synthesize items for ridiculous high roll ES Gear. I scoured poe.trade for fractured items for hours finding double fractured pieces I could Synthesize (before getting 3x fractured was ez) I would purchase these items for 5-25c and then relist them in a tab for 1ex I made probably 20 ex doing this. I also purchased 2 watchers eyes for good deals I flipped and made about 10ex profit from(most from a really cheap faster energy shield recharge i found for 1 ex) but the big wealth was from selling the items I had gotten to +ES on the implicit then fossil crafting them too huge ES values. My first craft was a chest piece with 900 ES than a 470 ES Shield and a few other peices totally 50-70ex in value. I used some of the gear and it has gone down in value sense then but I bought a headhunter and some other good gear and been trying out different specs to figure out the value of all items I can.

I am incredibly active early season and try to get ahead of the curve in how to make money I had a blast doing so in synthesis on my own and I think with some support could create some ridiculous wealth.

I think if I had a community to play with I would find the game alot more fun and enjoy the competitive side of things more.

I really like crafting.
I like high life builds because I hate dying even though I play soft core.
