The days where an entire country's population could get away with basically no government because they're too ornery and pissed off to pay for necessary and vital infrastructure and public services and want to be a bunch of only-just-barely connected isolated homesteaders with maybe three Big Cities that basically cat like ancient Greek city-states are bloody fucking over. The world is a bigger place. Technology has all but entirely eliminated the boundaries of distance and time, and that trend will only strengthen as time and technology march on. Governmental structures need to arise that can handle the requirements of the modern world. We can try and get there peacefully, through reform and alteration of our governing structures over time, or we can get there after everything collapses into civil war and millions of people die because conservatives wanted to try and cling to the days when they could keep 100% of their money, and also 100% of the money of anyone they shot to death out in the boonies on a homestead raid. We don't live in that world anymore. We live in this one. Catch up or get left behind. | |

Wrong. House doctors were until the 1970s then 200m. Mexico's problem is too much gov. The peasants cant even have guns to defend themselves from roving gangs who of course have them and are in league with the feds. Of course police is national instead of regional state and city like ours is so they are not responsible to the people they serve and utterly corrupted. Matter fact I'm seriously considering moving after I sell my share of company I work for.
