[3.1][HC] rogueyoshi's Frostbreath Cyclone (All content on a budget, 500k-1m+ Shaper DPS, 10k+ EHP)
I can confirm I'm playing hardcore, level 86 cleared upto t10 maps playing safe since i'm not the most experienced player. I've really only had one close call on this character. I did alter the tree to scion life wheel on the way to MoM but as a result you're forced into going more mana nodes down in the ranger start area.
Its a slow starting build but it really comes into its own once you get the bare minimum and of course, abyss jewels with cold + cold on maces really does send your damage out of this world. With minimum investment it starts to scale extremely well. Is an amazing addition to HC budget version, that shield is really wild and borderline removes any threat of dying, at least in my opinion. As I'm gathering currency and working towards improving the build, been playing a few other characters but the power of the frost cyclone is very strong in my opinion. I had my doubts on the build when i started it in HC, but i've really had absolutely no issues, beside getting my cold resistance to the point where wise oak is usable that's really the only hurdle im hitting currently. This is my current gear, any advice on what I should work on upgrading? I'm looking into getting a belly of the beast, but I'm wondering if that would harm my DPS since Hyrri's Ire adds cold damage. |

" Link your Jewels. If you can get a 6L Belly then do that. After that, I advise getting a Pandemonius and some Opals (WED / Melee / Cold with 60+ increased) as those will give you the most damage for the cost. From the looks of it, you have the damage to drop Thief's Torment and grab the leech cluster + Vaal Pact. I'd also try to get a Chemist's Silver Flask of Warding and a Wise Oak. Also, since you have Esh's Mirror, you may want to consider running Innervate and getting the WED clusters over the cold clusters. This will also let you use Vinktar's. studying for GGG's C++ technical exam... Last edited by ログよし#2777 on Jan 2, 2018, 5:04:41 PM

" Like the vaal pact passive? |
|
" I misinterpretted what you meant, and thought that change was in 3.0, but I already adjusted the tree for that before 3.1, it's at the top of the first post. You should be using the tree that goes through the duelist area instead of the shadow. studying for GGG's C++ technical exam... Last edited by ログよし#2777 on Jan 3, 2018, 8:11:54 AM

can you post a video of the shaper and the guardians? :)

" If I do, it will be on an outdated version of the build since I don't have Abyss Jewels for it in Standard. I haven't gotten around to rerolling it in AHC yet, also I'm out of town atm. Perhaps someone in the thread could oblige. studying for GGG's C++ technical exam...

" alright...I'd like to have a general idea of how the build can clear the hardest endgame content... is the +2 weapon range mandatory or a +1 will work as well? |
