Trade Manifesto
Buying things is easy but tedious, not harder—just cumbersome. The best auction house (AH) system I've seen is Black Desert's, with fixed price ranges and universal access. To improve, implement an AH with a gold cost to list items and a dedicated stash tab for AH storage (to support the game). The listing fee should be a percentage of the item's asking price.
@ sek14#3490 That actually sounds like a viable option, if theres a strong fee it will help promote a healthy economy, but it will always depend on how many are playing the game so, idk, i feel like diablo 2 hit a sweet spot somewhere, poe has the right idea Last edited by prefix331#5774 on Dec 23, 2024, 9:08:31 AM

Delete this post please. I realized I don't even care enough to complain.

" BDO system is the worst I’ve seen |

We need a SSF mode that drops GOOD items, an auction house, or both. The current drop rates are terrible. The RNG is random to the point of maliciousness. You say that you'd have to adjust drops if trade was too easy but drops are already beyond bad... literally the worst in any ARPG since Diablo 3 at launch.
I just started a new warrior in POE2, and made it to level 6 before an actual warrior item dropped. Everything else up to that point had been for other classes (wands, quarterstaves, gear with ES and evasion). On a brand new character I couldn't find items. This is insane. Itemization needs a completely overhaul in POE2. You should be able to find actually useful items while playing a character. 80% of what drops is for other classes. 20% is for your class. It should literally be the opposite and what drops should actually be decent. Why are there spell caster and accuracy affixes on the same item, for example, when spells can't miss? It makes no sense other than to make items deliberately terrible and basically pushes players up against a wall where they are forced to trade to get anywhere. And then when they go to trade and see items priced in divines they stop playing. Do you not understand this? It's completely demotivating/demoralizing. |
