Maybe you are just that unlucky after 20+ Desecrate? I know that you cant Desecrate "Knitted Horror" monsters, so it's possible that you also cant Desecrate those though.
But I would not recommend using them anyway, Zombies dont benefit much from power charges. Having two Spectres that cast frenzy charges instead of only one to help keeping them at max charges is better.

Well, my other apes don't have a problem to keep frenzy charges at 3 stacks, they start recasting 5 secs before cooldown (which is 10 secs).

Regarding your statement on effectiveness of power charges for minions:

"The effects of power charges are much more significant on monsters and minions. Note that player totems themselves cannot gain or have power charges.

200% increased Critical Strike Chance per Power Charge"

What they said was "ZOMBIES don't benefit much from power charges" which is true, last I checked, Zombies only have a base cc of around 5%, they benefit the least out of all minions for power charges.
A good game isn't about the graphics or how big it is. A good game is one that you play for hours yet seems like minutes.

Don't all minions only have a base 5% chance to crit?

But still 3 power charges is a 600% crit chance increase which would put them at 35% crit.

Considering that crit damage is a multiplicative boost thats a sizable boost.
Well, just check the box for "Minions have power charges" in Path of Building and you will see the dmg difference!!

Again: both frenzy and power charges are at 3 stacks in combat.

Uber Elder viable.Killed him on my 3rd set, replace Minion Speed with Minion Life (zombies will still be dying).
My one question for this build that is pretty great is why not Vaal Haste instead of Haste with the new changes to Vaal gems?

Good question, i really didnt play this league.
They are both in one gem slot now, right? So yea, you get a free Vaal Haste now.
Yes it is just one gem now basically, so no reason not to use it really.

Watching the attack speed of the zombies when you use vaal haste is pretty sweet.

Remembering to use it is a problem.

I've been using vaal haste too. Seems to work good but this is my first character and I don't really know what I'm doing.
