I swapped in lioneyes fall viridian jewel to get excess to the claw nodes around soul raker, the damageoutput has been increased a lot but I think that the lifeleech itself is somehow not that effective anymore.

Can any1 give me an explanation or has experienced the same?

You can get some more HP from your jewels, you're still missing 2 in your tree. You're also missing at least 3 life nodes in your tree. You can also switch to Shroud of the Lightless as your chest.
For more DPS you can still get Barrage enchant on helmet and Dying Sun. You're also using Blackgleam and not The Signal Fire.

Well you have very low HP on all your gear, also put barrage in your chest.

This doesn't mean that either tree is right or wrong, this means I'm playing the game and I'm always testing new stuff and different setups.

I found vaal grace few days ago and it does make a big diff in survival. The easiest stuff to die to is abyss cracks due to volumes of mobs popping on top of you. Grace with extended durations lasts almost 11seconds and it recharges before first one runs out. Even though i have not taken the last 4 dodge nodes i do see a big uptick in survival. I made some jewels for myself i am pretty happy with i got 41k hideout dps with TS and 23k dps with barrage. Dmg pretty solid with my lousy equipment. Aside from bow and chest and quiver all my other stuff is self found and pretty cruddy. My profile is open feel free to take a look at what an avg set up looks like. I run with 5600hp presently
