0.9.6e Patch Notes

I don't know about many of the unfinished parts of PoE, because I haven't been in the beta for long yet - but I totally agree with Kabraxis on the part of polishing the game before releasing it - and improving it later on.

I think lack of support is one of the main reasons why games fail. It's a pity to see how many promising ARPGs were finally left unfinished - usually due to a serious lack of support on the part of publishers.

D2 is a fine example: IMHO D2 is still the best ARPG around and that simply because blizzard decided to support and improve it over 10 years. Pre patch 1.09 D2 sucked big time - and I couldn't care less about it. But then Blizzard got smart and created some real coop-gameplay-experience.
(Not that I have too much hope for D3 though...)

I dont see a reason to expect a missing support for POE, as I compare with its actual situation. I cant imagine a way to be nearer to the players base as it is now...

How much support did you expect for D2 after D3 is released? Maybe they only supported it so long to keep the interest high on their Duke-Nukem-like development? ^^^
And, how long will D2 further live, if you'll need a new Blizz-account to take part in bnet (like it is planned, or fixed, or AFAIK at least was thought)

One major difference between D2 and an open-stage developed game now (like POE) it that in all that time they didnt have to worry about the players base, and so also could make their decisions on their own (blizz). Now it has changed: the community get involved in the development process, and they differ between "classic" APRG players and people with a MMO-related background - with different demandings from their view how a game has to be... to try to please them all, could nearly only result in a worse game; also for all types of players beside a very minority in the middle. If you (as a dev) try to balance your baby too much between all suggestions, you even may end, upgiving your own ideas on the games behaviour, with a game that not even pleases yourself... not a easy job, actually.

I really do think that Player2Player trade is very much important to implement before open beta.

I also think OB will be around 2 months away, and what's with some of you think OB = release?
It's still Beta not a Gold Release.

And with how awesome the GGG crew are, lets just stop putting pressure on them and hope them for the best instead!

Is there a known issue with people Disconnecting while loading new instances?

Since this patch it has been really aw full. I can't play on Europe at all. Because 2 out of 3 times I try to load a instance or the town I disconnect (Go back to the log in screen). On the american gateway its a bit better but I obviously have allot of lag there since I am from Europe. In the american gateway I disconnect 1 out 5~10 times depending on the time. At the moment I can't even log in with Europe and America's gateway is d/c 1 out of 2.

Its starting to get really frustrating and it is really ruining the fun for me atm.
