" I don't see how to fit Haste into a MoM-build, to be honest, going for Essence Worm for this fight alone would mean losing a chunk of ehp, even if the resistances are still capped. As for advancing fortress, my first attempt yesterday was with it, and it's complete and utter garbage on that fight, in my opinion. The speed of WBs is so bad that you can start the WB cast when you see Elder's icicles coming your way when Shaper is chilling, and then Shaper (who's standing so far from you you can't even see him on the screen) will start shooting the balls at your WB's end location, and the goddamn recovery time is long enough for you to stand there in that animation as the first of those 3 orbs reaches you. Next attempt I went and replaced my 20/0 faster attacks with a 20/23 one, and replaced Advancing fortress for the Scourge - not only for the damage, but rather for the 15% ias roll. Next attempt was better, but still horrifyingly slow. As for flasks, I know for certain I need at least 2 HP flasks since the add phases are so rare to refill them, and Ryslatha is just not enough; I also need Rumi's and a Sapphire flask. I thought about doing anti-freeze on my Sapphire and replacing the instant HP flask with another Karui, but for the 5th flask, it HAS to be a quicksilver. I mean, moving around the arena using WB is pretty much as fast as just walking due to that post-animation, and the main reason for WB is to evade Shaper's attacks that come after Elder dives and slows you. For other cases like simply moving around the area, getting away from anomalies, evading shaper's slam during clutch moments when Elder's ring is about to explode, Quicksilver was a godsend. I can't imagine dropping it, since it gives a ton more control over movement than WB. As for life and mana, it's pretty much impossible for me right now to get much more mana, perhaps a mana roll on the shield, but it would be hard to find a good enough replacement for my current shield. Almost all 7 (even 9 with 2 jewels in the belt) jewels I have have life/mana rolls. So, even though the ratio is skewed, 7500/2500 is better than the correct 5800/2500, since it's still effectively 1700 more HP. The skewed ratio is only really noticeable in maps, not on bosses, when you get stuck in a mob of monsters, unable to escape because you are sitting at 0 mana after every hit they're making. With a boss that simply kills you with any 2 damage instances, the window between those 2 instances is more than enough to get enough mana for WB/SC. And also I didn't feel any need for a mana flask or more mana anyway. I used RS - Min Dam - Ele Focus - Cont Dest - Spell Echo - Slow Proj for SGs, as well as an Arc-Culling-Proj Weakness-CoH setup. All other gems were taken for powered-up manual cast BO, a lvl20 cwdt bo, and a lvl1 cwdt with tempest shield, desecrate and immortal call. Then again, I had 2 main problems: 1) Degen mobs weren't dying as fast as I wanted and making the second half of the fight a living nightmare 2) Any physical damage almost one-shotting me with less than 3000 armour outside of Rumi's - even with 77% cold resistance Shaper's orbs (which are partially cold and partially physical), as well as tentacle slams were still bringing me from 7500/2500 to almost death. Tentacle slams were easily the worst thing in the fight. I plan on taking revenge on this bastard and eventually killing him deathless before the league ends (with SGs again), and my ultimate goal is to not change the tree between 'brightbeak-double biscos' map farming and 'boss setup'. That's one of the reasons why I got the amulet you're seeing right now. I don't really need anything else from amulet other than pure HP/Mana (an armour% roll would be perfect though), and that unique Abyss belt was crucial to max out Spectre's resistances (I lost my first 2 sets because spectres were constantly out of range of Clarity, dying to everything with their meager 46 resistances). My own resistances are pretty much covered without Brightbeak/Bisco's leash - those come into play to overcap resistances in maps for Ele Weakness. As far as I know, Shaper's cold penetration doesn't take overcapped res into consideration and deducts 25 from 75 (or 77 in my case) anyway. The ultimate idea is to make a spectre build that would be able to quickly change between map-clear and boss-killing modes. And the usual 'just use the red socket for fire penetration' approach of using Flammability and changing between SGs and TVs in a BBBBGR Vis Mortis just doesn't work for Uber Elder. It's fine for easier bosses like red Elder, Shaper or Uber Atziri, which are only about mechanics really, and an experienced player would kill all three of those on a 5-link with lvl 19 SGs or TVs without an issue, but it doesn't work for Uber Elder. Clear-speed means SG, SG means Proj Weakness, Proj Weakness means 155 (159) dex, which means preferably going Duelist area instead of Marauder. Going for the TV-heavy build with a flammability and then just smashing SGs into your usual TV setup is also a bad idea - doing something like 3 flashback mods (tripple beyond included) on 4-sextanted T16 Seas with a half-assed SG build would be slow and dangerous compared to a setup more heavily invested in SGs. So that leaves us with attempting to find a way to reliably kill UE deathless with SGs, and my rules for this are simple: - No respeccing - No recoloring I'm still not sure whether I needed all those extra cwdt measures and 3 supports for manual BO; unlike mapping, manual BO (and manual desecrate 20, which I also see no reason to use in the clear build when you have a cwdt1-ic1 setup anyway, for which you just add dese1) is definitely needed though. I'm not sure whether AG can survive the fight; on my first 2 sets, when spectres were dying due to not being in aura range, AG died WAY before spectres - and that was an AG with a 40% life belly (lost 3 of them during that process, actually, buying new ones between the portals) and 16% southbound, as well as a 21/20 minion life, lvl2 empower and lvl20 fortify. Sure, looking back I realize he also wasn't capped on res, having only 56 while not in my aura, but I'm not that certain he'd be able to survive even with this belt setup I'm currently using that should overcap him. In Bestiary Aspect of the Spider was rly good for our Spectro build / Can't remember name guy from BHC but he kill U-Elder with Tuko deathless (Adv. Fort., ammy with Spider asp., almost all RS gems 21/20, e.t.c.), and do 40/40 in BHC in 6 weeks (only in BHC, not those guys who did 40/40 on SC then delete char. and start on HC lul). |

After nerf Dyadus =\ i try use Solars and new Temple Advocats and its not for me.. I love TV *-* and same block best choice after nerfs - add 3 golems with "combustion" :> its nice lvl94 / 6900hp / 2100m / Block 25/20 (with rumi 42/43; with bone and rumi - 59/73) Nice clear speed + nice boss killa //on hards maps - use bone and Scourge (ez maps - flesh and Brightb) //think about new corrruts, 2 curses and mb same block staff from tree...

Posting one more time for the folks that may have missed it... we got decent bone thrown to us this league in the form of gear. This added a big DPS boost... The staff below is adding in roughly 2 minion damage gems on top of your damage. 6L it and you now have +2 flame golems along with TV's along with the damage boost. 4 Block nodes gets block up to 30.
The staffs are cheap... 2c for mine. Much cheaper than elder gear. This should get you through most of the content in the game... You can also (X) swap gear out to a more standard setup for tougher encounters. Temple is cake with this setup... NS Current Gear... Farming setup. |

Wanted to throw an incursion tip out there too. If you look at my gear you will notice im using freezing pulse and the threshold jewels. Along with dual curse.
One of the biggest issues with incursions is the zerg at log in. You can easily end up with a crapload of mobs all over you fast. The FP curses the whole screen in one burst giving you time. Lightning bolt and other gems just don't have that instant whole screen cursed effect. NS |
