Clarity if your res is capped and using MoM. It takes the least mana reserve and with the extra mana regen, it's an increase to our survival.

If your res is not capped, then purity of elements is a huge boost and makes gearing much easier. But it reserves 35% of your mana. I swap between the 2 since I don't have 109 res. So if I'm in an elemental weakness map, I swap to purity of elements and swap back to clarity when I'm in a regular map.

Clarity, I think - it's mentioned in the OP unless it changed.

Want to try going the golems+TVs route for the first time.

Two questions to those who have already tried it:

- What ended up working better, 4L elder helm golems and 6L TVs, or vice versa?

- Does essence of horror work, essentially providing a 7th link? I've seen a helm on ISC that looks pretty damn sick:

Socketed Gems are Supported by Level 20 Burning Damage
Socketed Gems are Supported by Level 18 Minion Damage
Socketed Gems deal 30% more Elemental Damage
+90 to maximum Life
+21% to Lightning Resistance
34% increased Burning Damage
Minions deal 20% increased Damage

IF those 30% more ele damage actually work, this is pretty insane, especially so early in the league.

The 30% doesn't work on minion because it didn't mention minions. Only thing that works on minions is when it actually says minion. So the 30% is for your spells only and it's negligible.

As for which which part to link what it depends on the helm. My helm has +burning so naturally I put TVs in the helm because golems don't benefit from burning. If it's +2 minion, minion life, minion damage then I would put golem in there simply because the +2 benefits golems more and the quality from gems would benefit spectres more. It all depends on what helm you got.

For BiS I think a +2 minion and minion life/damage with golem and 6L specter is best. You can get a +2 minion +20 minion damage + 20 burning damage and it would still do less than a normal 20/20 minion damage and burning damage. Not to mention the possible 21/20 gem.

I'm cheap and can only afford a 5L so I put golems in my chest and TVs in my burning helmet. Second best imo.

I see. I wasn't certain because Elemental Focus (which does work for spectres) has pretty much the same wording, just 'supported gems' instead of 'socketed gems', but the second part is the same, 'deal xx% more elemental damage'. Welp, that sucks. ;_;

Because it's LINKED to the minion gem. Or is supporting the socketed gem.

This is my helmet. The burning damage also doesn't apply to my minions. Otherwise it would've been perfect. Most helmets I've seen are the same. Everything is +minion except for the burning damage.

Wait a moment, this part is something I thought was certainly working. Was there some GGG post denying it? Why wouldn't it work if the usual 'Burning damage' support gem does work?

//e: so in case of your helm, there's a line 'socketed gems are supported by level 18 burning damage', which translates into 'your raise spectre gem is supported by...' - which is pretty much the same as linking a lvl18 burning damage support to the very same raise spectre gem, which would work perfectly fine.

Dead simple to verify ... time how long a single spectre takes to kill avarious reassembled on a few runs with only RS / Minion Damage, grab a level 18 burning damage gem and add it to the helm, run the same thing again several times.

If it's faster with the gem, then either the helm affix doesn't apply or... they stack, which would be killer too.

The level 18 burning gem works. I'm talking about 2nd to last line, "26% increased burning damage" wouldn't apply to the minions.

Ah, right, true. However, the wording in 'Socketed Gems deal 30% more Elemental Damage' specifically mentions socketed gems, not the character; the wording is pretty much the same as with elemental focus.

I don't have a helm to test it with yet, but if it didn't work it would made quite a lot of builds here contain misinformation; mika2salo's golem build as well as ghazzy's skeleton builds incorporate TVs with such helms, and both mention having burning damage in addition to minion damage.

Actually, I'm a bit stuck. For some reason I unconsciously decided to migrate to the speed-clear SG shit I've been using in Flashback (Rampage/Onslaught and pretty much clearspeed only), but now I realize that I have bosses to kill, and even though it's technically possible to push SGs to even Uber Elder, I'd rather not. I feel like I'm getting fed up with spectres, but at the same time I don't want to play anything else, so I'd rather try to somehow add something new to the experience.

The choice is really between 2 options:

TVs + Flame Golems (either using golem-heavy 4+1+1 build with TVs playing supporting role, or using a spectre-oriented build with mediocre golems, but with Anima and Primordials).

Some Spectres + (Vaal) Skeletons.

Second option really looks interesting, but I'm not certain about the playstyle; even with Bone Sculptor and From Dust, it would seem that you have to re-summon skellies quite often.

But the biggest problem is the absolute horror of being completely addicted to the speed clear of brightbeak + vaal haste + perma onslaught and rampage. Going back to something slower would be incredibly painful. I can't imagine how people are playing those skellie builds that use a 2H staff. I can't even watch without sorrow the videos where summoners are using shield charge with anything but Brightbeak.

Boy this post got long...
TL;DR: what would you fellas recommend to do (or maybe are doing yourselves) with this build as a base if I intend to casually farm some uber elders, but also at some point reshape the atlas to good old underground sea/armoury/waste pool/elder t16 road to 100?

Actually, there's a third option that sounds like it might fit your needs. If you scrap the supporting cast entirely, you can run 2 separate Raise Spectre setups, one in your chest and one using a pseudo 6-link in your helm. Setup one for SGs and the other for TVs, and run 3SG/1TV for clearing, then pause before the boss room and swap to 1SG/3TVs.

As for golems, I didn't find they could compete with the raw DPS output of TVs, however, they worked fine with the anima jewels for map clearing.

I just tried Uber Atziri for the first time. My character is level 91, I'm using TV's, zombies, stone golem and no animated guardian. I kept running into the same problem during my run...

My specters do not survive through the fight and stopping to respawn them in the middle of it is suicide. I'm using all the recommended skill gems, all max quality except minion resists, but as soon as my spectres die I'm screwed. I was using level 81 specters (4 levels lower then the max) and don't use unending hunger, although I think it doesn't matter since they die when there's no creeps around.

Can 4 more levels on my specters have enough impact on survivability to complete this run?

Should I forget resummoning my zombies and just focus on staying alive and using convocation to bail my specters out when their low?

Or is their something else I'm missing?
