new helmet? new belt? new trinkets? i dont know :<
Hmm...
- If you dropped that amulet, and picked up a Rumi's flask, you could probably still max your block. In which case, much better amulets could be purchased. One with an additional curse corruption? Or one with an extra 15% minion damage?
- +2 Minion gems Bone Helm would be nice. Another damage boost.
- Scourge claw with Culling Strike corruption is really nice on bosses.
- If I were going to run my curse and my elemental equilibrium trigger in a 3L, I'd probably drop the Curse on Hit for GMP and manually curse anything tough enough to survive the first hit. Actually, I might skip the GMP and use that socket for something else.
- If you 3-link your shield and rework the colour order, you can have CWDT cast desecrate and then BO from what I understand.

Ok, so instead of going with 4x TVs and FG. I am testing the 2x SG and 2x TV with a 6l helm. My problem is I can't see a way to fit in a curse setup. Also, what would be my optimal aura to run with a 2x2 split?
There's a few things you can do here. First, you can manually curse, which despite sounding like a chore, really only needs to be done on bosses, nothing else lives through the first hit whether they are cursed or not. That removes the need for Curse on Hit. You can drop Flesh Offering for high end maps, because you'll probably want Bone offering up all the time anyway. Same deal with GMP in the curse on hit setup - we normally use that to trigger Elemental Equilibrium, however, single target EE isn't that big of a challenge, because most everything dies instantly, only really tough monsters need the EE hit. That frees up 3 gem slots right there.

Best all around curse is still Elemental Weakness, it interacts with EE very nicely and works well in parties doing other damage types. With that said, don't feel required to use it, try the other curses and go with the one you like the most. Personally I'm running Solar Guards with Projectile Weakness, even though number wise EW is superior.

Why EW instead of flammability? If I'm understanding it properly we only want to reduce fire resist, and at 20 EW reduces that to 39%, while Flamm does 44%.

I'm likely going to try to upgrade my shield but am having trouble justifying the change. Changing my current shield loses me alot of life and armor, to free up a neck slot. What am I gaining by freeing up my neck slot? Would I be better off getting a extra curse Stone?

Current Shield:

Another upgrade I was tempted by is changing a ring to a essence worm to get a free extra Aura, but I dunno what aura to use for a 2x2 split... Is haste worth it or would grace be better, or something else entirely?

My last and final question (for a while anyways) about this build, is about end game bosses. My main goal for this build is to do guardians and shaper, is this still viable with 2x2 split or should I just level with that for now then switch my gear to support 4x TV's when it's ready to get bossing?

*Edit* JUST REMEMBERED TO ASK! Is Unending Hunger a jewel we want to use?

Thanks everyone for your replies so far, they've been super helpful!! :D

Any idea how to solve HOGM?
Most wave of Grandmasters is super easy killing, but some exiles blow up my minions less than one second.
I'm running 3TV + 3FG setup. I'm easy kill guardians/shaper. Flame golem show 52k HP with Minion Life Support but result is the same. Some grandmasters kill my minions instantly

At level 20 quality 20, the resist penalty for EW and Flammability is the same - the difference is, if you party up with someone who does other damage types, your curse will help them as well. Also, we do lightning damage with our curse on hit setup, so EW will boost that as well. Admittedly, it's a minuscule amount, but if you're really going to go for every point, might as well.

Lioneyes is a great shield, and an upgrade there is going to be tough to justify. However, consider this combination:

This still maxes out my block and spell block with Rumi's up, plus I get:
600 armour - down from lioneyes
80 life - also down
45 mana - increase, which is effective life using Mind Over Matter
65 resists
Instant mana replenishment on block
flat life and mana gained instantly on block
3% extra block chance
20% increased damage boost for my minions

Just those resists alone are what let me fit this:
which is the other thing you were thinking about. :) I swap auras depending on what I'm doing. Physical damage bosses I'll take determination. Easy maps, I'll take haste.

My suggestion would be to run most maps with the 2+2 setup, but for the guardians, Shaper, and especially uber Atziri, swap to 4 TVs. One of the huge benefits to this build is the ease with which we can swap minions - so take advantage of that! :)

Unending Hunger - as long as you have a Solar Guard, absolutely.

It's a long and hard process, I'm afraid. Equip a projectile skill and faster projectiles, then aggro the group and run away. Fire a projectile down the hallway to pull in one master at a time. Get your minions a decent distance away, then run in and convocate right next to him and flee again. Don't be afraid to respec for more minion life just for this challenge, you can swap back later. Things like Puppetmaster on the tree, and take the top two points on the way to gravepact instead of the bottom. Drop your flame golems and their support jewels for extra minion life jewels - it's unlikely that you can get your flame golems to do any real damage to the masters anyway. Don't worry about running away, resummoning, and trying again.

I see what your saying, only problem is that such a shield costs a mighty amount of currency in Abyss atm.. Infact, I can't even see one with the resists and mana gain on block atm! In the interim I can get a Stone with either additional curse, or 20% minion damage.. Both are quite tempting!! I'm leaning towards curse, but am not sure which is the better choice..

And this is well deserved! Can't really find another build that sparks my interest after playing this demigod. Well, cut the "demi" ;)

Though I think, for the last 100 pages, we've just been discussing the same questions over and over. I could write a FAQ during my sleep by now. Kudos to you for answering again and again.

About your argument that mana equals life:
Yes, but don't forget that most chars here scale life more than mana. So while every point of mana provides a certain amount of EHP, one point of life is still worth more.

For example, my char has 203% inc life and 146% inc mana. That means 1 point of mana is worth ~0.8 points of life for me. Not that much of a difference, but it is there.
