Well... kind of depends. In my experience, packs die before the AG can hit them and apply the debuff, so it's only being used on bosses. Splash isn't that useful AFAIK on single target.

OTOH, I've been running Solar Guards, where stuff usually dies offscreen, they target so far away, and I avoid maze style maps with small areas and walls. So your mileage may vary.

Why you don't use the Minion Life Support Gem on Specters ? the gem gives 15% increased max HP and 50% MORE minion HP ... that alone should be a HUGE dps and surviability of the specters...

Why not use it ?....

Because Spectres raised with a level 20 gem are essentially immortal anyway. I've seen their life drop maybe twice in hundreds of hours of playtime.

I'm not sure how you get a huge dps boost, though?

that sucks... I was about to try a build like this with the new unique helm Wraithlord what gives +1000 HP to specters....going Low Life and use Discipline to boost up a little bit the specters RF damage and etc...

If their RF does flat damage and isn't affected by specters life pool and etc...I won't give it a try anymore :(

Wraithlord is a fantastic leveling helm so far. :)

5L Vis Mortis > Tabula for sure. Probably better than a 6L rare as well. Consider that it's going to add another spectre, which is a 33% damage boost if you are running 3 before Vis.

You can just run tabula and queen decree but yeah, shield charge/WB is indispensable so vis mortis wins in any case. But it's so expensive now early league. I cant even afford a tabula :<

It'll drop in price... or we'll find them. I had 2 drop for me last league.

Hello fello necromancers.. I got a couple of questions.

I snatched up this decent helmet.

I'm planning on slotting the spectres in this helmet, and running something else in a 6linked Vis Mortis, but no idea what that would be, got any ideas?

Also, how will my spectres fare without the 2% regen from my skullhead? Does it even matter if the spectre gem is lv 20?
