NO LONGER MAINTAINED
" I am going to be doing this build very similar to how you did it. You said the skeletons damage is very low. What is the advantage of even having skeletons at all instead of a pure spectre build. Is the clear speed really that good with the skeletons? |

So the big thing with skeletons is that their mechanics are radically different from the specters which means they cover gaps that specters have and the other way around.
To break it down TVs have one thing going for them. they have absurd single target when combined with EE and a guardian rocking two burn axes. They suck for clearing They are dependent on convocation which has a clunky cool down. they are too slow to work with the whole run past everyone hoping the teleport mechanic takes care of everything bit people like to do with brightbeak They are terrible in indoor maps because of this. more often than not you will go into one room get stunned during convocation and then you are fucked. or you survive but now your convocation is on cool down and its time to go into another room. golems share these problems ,but are actually worse because the fire balls used by fire golems are blocked by ledges. Its AWFUL i dont understand why everyone is all over those 3 golem builds. also TVs are difficult to control since the totems do whatever they want. you want the trash gone instantly so that the totems stack on the correct target. this is where skeletons come in first you can cast them in front of you so you will always have them, even in the shit moments. you will have them in every door way , every room , regardless of elevation or path blocking. skeletons dont care about convocation at all. next is their coverage. skeleton elemental projectiles travel shockingly far. a single cast of them will very easily clear a screen in every direction on their own if you let them. this coverage cuts down on the bad targets so that your TVs actually attack the things you want them too attack. the skeletons also give you a good minion skill to proc abyssal jewels. and of course the fact that you can cast them where ever makes it much easier than say golems to deal with proximity effects like evangelist bubbles. skeletons just dont have good single target. when you go into pob their dps without curses is like 30k per .. with curses its 50k and then with slower projectiles its 70k they are HUGELY affected by outside sources.. that is a double edged sword with all the curse resistances bosses have hence TVS got you covered Last edited by Saltychipmunk#1430 on Jan 8, 2018, 12:09:58 PM

Why do you pick mind over matter if you use cloak of defiance ?
According to pob your summon skeleton only do 15k dps. Isn't that extremely bad since you're using very good gear ? |

Pledge of hands i wanna use shield for more def with any one hand weapon that's will be fine ?

" you can do that but i highly recommend getting vanguards spectres for bosses other wise the single target dmg will suck. |

" this build was made pre MoM nerf so the mana nodes behind MoM were and still are quite valuable. Cloak also provides extra 10% to MoM and nice mana reg. this build was also made to avoid spectres which at given time also didnt have the QoL features they got shortly after. Right now i would drop cloak for vis mortes get 3 spectres for bosses. Last edited by Shareware#6897 on Jan 9, 2018, 4:57:23 PM

I think bones of ullr is better than vis mortis for three spectres. The only good thing vis mortis has is 15% minion damage. The unholy might does not work with elemental spectres and you will lose a lot of effective life by not using cloak.
