I've been wondering about the new abyss jewels actually. Is the flat phys ones really better than t1 ele damages?
If we say that a jewel has 7 - 11 physical damage for bow attacks, does that flat scale from all %increased phys damage from the tree?
If not, the 7-11 damage would be applied to 7-11 lightning, 7-11 fire, 7-11 cold.
And some flat ele dmg jewels have 6-80 lightning, 20-40 fire, etc, would that not technically be more in the end?

I'm probably missing something :thinking:

How much HP are you running with? PoB says 4.7k, but I'm assuming it's not working out the Shroud of the Lightless increased hp. Seems pretty low regardless. Are you getting one shot a lot?

Asking because I have a qotf wander atm, barrage enchant, all the right flakss and stuff. Really nice dmg, but 4.4k hp. I wouldnt want to try any hard end-game content with it and therefore looking for something that can actually take a basic hit from over buffed end game bosses and not die.

I'll let you know as soon as I have a little bit of luck this league. No 6l boww, no Dying Sun and not enough currency for the +1 Drillnecks yet. Once I sort at least some of that out, I'm gonna start in on the bosses and see how they go.

Your Abyssus has the worst roll possible for increased physical damage taken at 50%. This needs to be 40% or 41% at worst, as cheap as Abyssus is.

Astramentis needs to go as soon as possible. It does next to nothing for the build.

Easiest thing you can do right away is get a second Doomfletech's Prism in your weapon swap. Preferrably another 6l, but a 5l will be fine also. Use Barrage in a 6l for sure; that's your boss-killing skill. Tornado Shot is fine in a 5l.

PoB is not taking into account stats on the abyss jewel sockets on my gear atm- I am sitting at about 5.5k life 200ES. That amount of life, coupled with the healing you get from lightpoacher makes mapping very comfortable. With the removal of old vaal pact- the instant heals that the helm gives you are really nice. I would recommend picking up a lightpoacher with 2 sockets on it (currently about 50c)- the price has been steadily increasing and I strongly believe this is the best in slot helm for both doomfletch/bow players as well as wanders- the damage it gives outweighs any helm aside from abyssus. One of my jewels also has "Reduced phys from abyss mobs" which is actually a pretty useful stat this league because the bats and predator blade hand dudes hurt a lot. Abyssus is really not possible to use this time around.

Answering Geobruh's question- I've done all content except for chayula- I think a couple of the elder guardian fights are actually more challenging than the elder himself. I haven't focused on elder that much because I've been trying to farm shaper for money to buy this gear/ save for headhunter. Chimera is still one of the worst bosses for this build because of the removal of insta leech- if he has rippy mods then you're going to not be able to outleech facetanking his damage- decoy totem is your best bet against him.

When you say all content, does that include uber atziri?

Also, how does your lightpoacher have 2 abyss sockets when the wiki and all the ones I see on poe.trade can only have 1?

nice build, abyssus actually makes u care about avoiding melee dmg.

I'm a bit lost because everything can get better - what to focus down? My survivability/damage seems quite equal, but I only feel comfortable at tier 5 mapping. Higher and I don't do enough damage/die too easily.

Go down to poe.trade and you can search by number of abyssal sockets. 2 sockets on the helm is definitely much rarer than 1 and the price shows it. Uber atziri is a breeze as well yes. To be fair- my gear is pretty good for this point in the league- you're going to need to invest a lot of exalts to get this build going on end game content.
