I wouldn't say Kaom's Heart is mandatory, and it's a luxury survival item. Even Drillneck isn't necessarily mandatory, as you could get by with any other +1 arrow quiver on a budget. Neither is triple balancing Wise Oak--something a LOT of people in this thread put a huge emphasis on. My resistances are all balanced, but I don't use Vinktar's, so lightning ends up falling off when Dying Sun and ToH are up.

At present, I'm using a physical damage Yriel's Fostering (lots of damage while the ursa is up) and The Tempest's Binding. I might roll with Tornado Shot in a 6L for a while and change helms.

Ahfack should probably update the guide to reflect on Abyssus being a boss killing helmet for Atziri/Shaper. Most of us not wearing mirror-tier gear will get annihilated by bosses like the Guardians, or multi-phase fights that can burn our flasks and leave us vulnerable, such as Malachai. I only use mine for the Shaper, for example.

Very solid arguments here; Kaom's is not really that mandatory, I just say that because some people could find kaom's a very good survivality item that, in fact, increase dps.
But yeah, you could be good without it (but obviously is a huge improvement if u have one, so I tried to rush kaom's before anything else) I wouldn't say it's a luxury item unless you're pretty used to tough bosses in this game (so you could dodge almost everything by your own).

Second point is interesting AF. Good to know.

I honestly don't have any issues with hardcoded/multi-phase bosses because they're usually predictable as fuck. Atziri and Shaper with this build is just a matter of time until you realize you only have to reach between 5k-6k pool and melt bosses no matter what and dodge everything (blink arrow will do the rest).
I only had issues with guardians in order to get the bonusses, never after that (facetanking rollfacing pieces of shaper). Malachai is a threat if he has increased area of effect because of scenario, you are used to his movements in, like, 5 battles. And malachai and the rest of the bosses in shaper's are a joke with this build.
Edit: Accomplished 5/5 shapers and deathless the last (which I was lucky enough to get a starforge). And I know for sure I could farm him forever If I have no friends. Just enjoying the game at most. GL everyone. And cheers for the build owner, love ya.

PS: https://imgur.com/a/Bt1gy not a big deal, I'm between casual and asshole, so If I can accomplish that with minimum effort... you could. And I don't give a single F to the last two leagues' free cosmetics.

You need to use increased critical strikes in your clearing setup to proc herald of ice most reliably.

I switched to a +2 Tornado Shot enchanted Tempest's Binding, and I'm pleased with the results. It was 2-3x the price of my Lightning Arrow version, though, at 140c. :s

I sit at 5,622 HP with Yriel's and Tempest's Binding. I think I'm at 5400+ with Abyssus. I did 2 Shapers with that setup and died once when I decided to juke across the kamehameha instead of staying put and leeching. The other kill was deathless. It's just a bit dicier with a smaller health pool, but Shaper/Atziri are mostly telegraphed, whereas Guardians have more unavoidable/difficult to avoid attacks. (Phoenix is easy to dodge if you kill the adds; Hydra is extremely difficult to avoid shit, so I mitigate and debuff her instead; Chimera has some unavoidable damage points where he cannot be targeted for debuffs.)

I don't really feel like Kaom's is necessary, unless you're trying to stack as much damage externally as possible. For me, I like a fair bit of safety, so I run Hatred, but then Arctic Armour, Enfeeble, Decoy Totem, and 3 methods of landing Blind.

Considering that elemental focus prevents us from shocking enemies- wouldn't it be better to not use elemental focus with our barrage so that we can apply shock to enemies? In PoB it's showing me there are multiple gems that would be better with shock than ele focus without shock... Maybe there is some kind of mechanic I'm missing here but not 100% sure.
This build looks interesting. Since i dont have the required currency to go 2x Doomfletch for weapon swap, do you think that Tempest binding could work for the trash clear setup ?

Two 6L Doomfletch bows is mighty overkill. The Tempest's Binding is what I use and recommend. If you run Tornado Shot in a 6L, you could run a different helm, like Rat's Nest, for mapping speed if you preferred..

I inspected your profile and i've noticed that in your chest you used gems to make your pet stronger ? Is it really worth it in your opinion ?

If it was 6L'd I would run one of my attacks in it, but just trying to keep the Ursa alive for its massive buffs (Warcry + physical damage bonus) is substantially cheaper. I bulldoze everything up to Guardians, including T15 bosses and T16 trash, so it's not important to run a 6L over my current helm.

Was wondering if it was worth crafting this.

Will remember this and try it soon, sounds good and probably it would be a cheaper option, and even a better one. Thanks.

Yeah, that's a pretty solid ring for multiple craft mod. Just blessed it to get the max implicit roll and look for life and some other offensive stuff. You could even divine it but you could be unlucky and make it worst... It's up to you. And no, it's not exalt worth IMO.
