Storm Burst: Channel to unleash a stream of projectiles that deal lightning damage and always pierce through enemies. When you stop channeling, the projectiles explode, dealing significant damage in an area around them.

Can any1 say how this will interact with totems ,especially the stop channeling - projectiles explode part ? since they dont "stop" channeling till target is dead. anyone ?

Probably the same way Ball Lightning does : Just keeps going...

When your post is so disrespectful I would like to punch you in the face?

All these whiners.. Be happy with what they give you, ungrateful dickheads.

Grateful? I have spent more than $750 (probably over $1000, actually) on this game. This is literally the most expensive game I have ever played, even if it IS by choice.

I or anyone who ever spent even a dime on the game can whine all they like.

You apologists are much worse, for any gave/dev, than any amount of "whining" ever will be.

PS - How pathetic that a barely-inflammatory post makes you resort to desiring violence.

Can't we all just be excited for the 3.0 launch and leave it at that?
R.I.P. RF Totem.

45% Less totem life (Base core Dmg)
20% Less Rf Dmg (Base core Dmg)

15% Less Scorch Ray Dmg
35% Less Dmg Vaal Light Trap nerf.

At the beginning of Oriath's discussions, GGG was saying that RF should not be impacted by dmg over time changed because it never double dip as the dmg come from totem/player max life..

For sure, this build is now dead and cannot compete at high level.
Great job GGG. Thank you for all of your hard work. I am happy for all of the nerfs and balance changes. We all know that new meta builds will appear and eventually trivialize a lot of the end game but hey that is how it goes.

After reading this thread what I am most happy about is all of the 'we wont stand for it' crowd are not going to play any more. THANK GOD. Hopefully they will not come back here to the forums and post their drivel and whining BS. To all of you whiners, go sit in the corner and blow snot bubbles. To the 99 percent rest of us, enjoy the game in 2 days it is going to be a fun time.

By enjoy you mean reaching the end of normal right? in 3 years not 1 character that reached 90+ you must be real successful in this.

If you were a bit more incompetent ggg could probably hire you for ballance dev.

You can't force someone to feel exited. 3.0 is definitely a bit disappointing for a sizable portion of the playerbase.

Personally I think the game just became much more complicated, but also much less diverse. This patch introduces a ton of verbosity, while also gutting many builds and skills.

I feel like GGG developers are extreme players, and focuses too much on the experience of the top end player. This is causing a huge disconnect between the average player and the developers, and is evident with the broad backlash towards most changes in 3.0. Your average player wasn't killing shaper in 6 seconds with double-dipped dots. Your average player wasn't worried that map bosses died too fast. Yet despite this, all of the changes focused around the top-end of the game will now effect the average player just as much. It is totally overkill.
Rebalancing the game to finally address the past years of rampant power creep and double dipping mechanics was never going to be something easy for the player base to swallow.

It feels bad, and I feel like GGG has waited until they have gotten to this size before making these hard changes.

It feels like we have lost diversity, for your average player, we've probably gained a little, you no longer gravitate toward double dipping build threads because they have 14+++ million DPS in the heading (and omit the fact it takes 78ex to reach this point).

At the end of the day PoE will survive as long as it continues to evolve, it might need to go through some ugly iterations to continue to do this.
Death's Oath: The chaos damage-over-time aura is now a skill that activates on equipping Death's Oath, and is modified by socketed support gems as well as modifiers that affect auras, area of effect, damage over time and chaos damage. It now also grants +60-70 Maximum Life, and the Physical Attack leeched as Life is now Attack Damage leeched as Life.

What about singularity? or other unique that grant aura? Will they be affected as well by modifiers that affect auras, area of effect and so on? I think it should.

I'm looking forward to play fall of oriath... good job, nice update!
you guys are amazing! congrats on the near launch <3
Summoned Skeleton Mages now deal 50% more damage at gem level 20? There is a skeleton mages gem?
GGG listens to its fans!!! Thank you!
