BTW op complained he can t find any players. I just pointed out the problem when players are not even aware any ctf is taking place because life. ( at least my excuse for not playing actalo prop is not "muhhh was not in the mood to change gear")

weird, i played ctf with "op" just a couple days ago. and after i respec a char, i'm down for melee ctf, too.

I'm not trying to give you advice nor am I saying I'm better than anyone (on the contrary, I say all the time we're all equals here, no 1 person is more important than the other), I'm saying IMO we need to keep it moving. The same old stagnant, boring pissing contests people have been having here before you started pvp'ing is tired, and your attitude (more so than your words) only perpetuates a negative image of PVP'ers in this game. If I was GGG and everyone acted like you do, I wouldn't want to support it either. Your attitude could also explain why you got a one-week ban for saying "captain obvious". Coppin' a 'tude goes a long way, even if the words you choose aren't quite as bad.

irony - noun - the person who makes the most posts in the pvp subforum is the person who plays pvp more or less the least, and the one who keeps trying to give advice.


as for bold, that's hilarious. since the actual PVPers in this game seem to mostly get along with me... and like this thread and the other, we actually play ctf often and have a lot of fun doing it.

versus the bitter ones in the pvp forum that don't even bother to play it.

can we leave dramas aside guys?

the melee CTF idea coming from actalo, Markusz brought it before too. and even before him, countless many others.

My point is CTF melee idea belongs to whole pvp scene not only one name and it can't be associated with only one name. let's decide what to do all together by bringing real arguments.

I'm trying hard for decide about some rules so people can have a better pvp experience.
what is the point of "pvp" with same life% investment and same item one is having 6.5k life, the other is getting 8k life. (normal vs leg kaoms) you cant experience anything about pvp there, it can be only gear check and whoever passes wins the game. damage dealing requires initiation, it requires skill yet leg kaoms is just offers 1000 life to those who have fat wallet or trying hard in this game since long time. so for that reason, i dont wanna use leg kaoms and dont want others use it too.

however, i can use leg kaoms in this tournament, but i dont think it would do anything do for others or for the sake of having fun together.

lets dont turn this into mine argument has bigger dick, i'm trying to set rules here so it wont be one shot fest or total disaster. Some will say, lets ban mirrored items too, lets ban that lets ban this.

in short, high damage is more accessible than almpst impenetrable tankiness which requires 380ex. And as i said, please bring arguments but it shouldnt be ad hominem based or some shit arguments like that which is not pointing the problem/solution but just trying to win an argument.

second, no "melee" gems like... as GGG gaming we dont know how to fix late game, races and make the game accessible for casuals... when we fix one, other one gets broken... so we better make some melee gems... which requires weapons but actually they re not really melee"

@Rup I like how much thought you've put into this, but don't want to shoot ourselves in the feet again with so many restrictions. How about we just get some matches going and then get some feedback once we've actually played some

Honestly, the main thing halting any activity in PvP is every 10 seconds someone feels the need to make an argument out of nothing. Just about everyone seems to want to prove they're better than everyone else, why can't people just play PvP because it's fun? It's the reason I stopped playing high level actively, and why so many others left too.

As far as a rule-set goes, banning things just for the sake of it is only going to slow things down. Since gearing up is a large part of the game, I think banning items because they're expensive is a wasted effort, at least as far as mirrored gear goes. Ahfack might have a better axe than me, better jewelry and everything else, but that shouldn't make me want his build to come down to my level of investment. Aside from legacy Kaom's and Aegis, I can't really justify a ban on much else. Spending too much time on deciding what's fair and what's not is just going to deter people more. Just play for fun and make the rules up as you go, that's the best way to play.

Though I can hardly ever play because of so many factors like work, timezone and the fact that most match-ups aren't fun for me, if these sorts of events actually become somewhat regular I might try get back into the groove a bit.

Y for me there is only 2 leg items we should ban :
leg kaom and leg aegis.

Others things while op don t create such gap and can be easily replaced on tree investment/jewels.


banned list would look like that in my mind:

-Leg kaom
-leg aegis
-projectile skills/semi projectile skills
-glove enchants
-CWDT+offensive spells (even level 1 like good old AB)
-minions



then allowed cwdt combo?
-endu cry+immortal call
-frost bomb
-curses
?
