[3.6] Milky's Scorching Ray Totems (updating process)

What affixes improve dps of RF and searing bond? Seems to me the only ones that work are
% Increased elemental damage
% Increased fire damage

And I did it again - this info is in one of the sections :)

until your capped with resists just run purity auras without bloodmagic. jewels with dual/all resi help as well

Dear Milky,

Have you ever notice that when you pass your mouse over the RF gem equiped in the armor, the Swift Affliction doesnt shine like it's not working?

And if you see anything new in 3.1 that can make us stronger, please let us know.

its not highlighted because it doesnt work with rf. It works because the spelltotem is linked to rf, but the Highlight function doesnt notice that interaction.

so far there is nothing besides obviously shaper/elder items that can free some gems here and there or grant extra utility. can be nice for searing bond/scorching ray to boost their dmg. Same for stuff like shieldmods etc.

Do you still use the warcry ascend branch even though they don't work with cwdt?

Also, the new Balefire weapon seems nice until you can afford a Doryani's, thoughts?

ofc i would use a warcry, its basically a better healthflask (25% life + ~1000 liferegen + charges/dmg).

Balefire does not look really beneficial

So this kind of gear should open some new possibilities to totem builds.

Then it is possible to put some high damage skill (trap, mines, etc) in a 6-link body armour and get
high damage where you need it most; vs bosses.

totem dmg/placementspeed is a nice mod coupled with spelltotem on boots. possible to use scorching ray in there
