" You should read the notes below the gem setups. The CWDT level 20 is only QoL for golem and it goes off almost all the time. Not self casting golem is something I should have done on all my chars ages ago. They simply do not live or survive long enough in any other scenario. Wrath is just an extra gem and does not matter if it is linked in with it or not. However Ancestral Protector you need to make sure is NOT linked with CWDT as it will stop you from being able to self cast it. |

Trying this build only for the final days of Flashback event and really liking it so far.
But a simple question: If I cannot afford a Lycosidae what should be my approach? A good rare shield or dual wielding claws? |
|
" Do the best you can, but lyco is prty mandatory |

" Heya. After playing this build for a couple of days now, i can totally see what you mean with the golem. I've even died a couple of times trying to resummon the damn thing, and i can now see i need to get that gem in asap :P Thank you for your quick answer! Currently doing t11 without much problems, only thing i struggle a bit with is survivability. I've been running with Queen of the forest in my chest up untill now, where i could 5-link my belly and equip it. Didn't do the biggest number on my health though, and i'm still only sitting on 4,5k life. Is there any chance that you, or anyone else could take a very quick peek on my character, and kinda give me some pointers as to what i should be focusing on upgrading? I know i need alot of upgrades still, (the most obvious being lycosidae, and uber lab), but i work so much better if i have a goal in mind, and i'm coming to a point where i don't know what to advance towards first. If anyone could do that i'd be super grateful, hell i'll even throw in some currency as tip :-P Thanks for reading my wall of text by the way! |

" I would upgrade things as follows... - Get a better rat's nest, no enchant and 68 is pretty low, a non enchant or 25% ST dmg should be pretty cheap, if not just buy a high crit one for a few chaos and worry about enchant way down the line. - Get lyco 100% as fast as possible, it is not that much currency. Condense other currencys regrets/vaals/silver coins/sextants/alts/chromes/regals/divines w.e to chaos and buy a lyco. - Get levels. Level 78 is incredibly low and even with red tier maps your running. Chaining easier like mid tier maps would be more beneficial for you atm. - Get your proper flasks. You do not need a mana flask with leech, you do not need sorrow of the divine at all. Pick up a cheap atziri's + vinktar (attack vinktar can come later, so get maybe pen one) - You use whirling for 99.9% of your movespeed, buy boots with like at least 80-90 life and look for ones with like 100+ res on them WITHOUT movespeed. Should be able to pick up a pair for not much at all and maybe find one with open prefix to craft movespeed. - Gloves have really low res, life is decent and no attack speed at all. Right now I would call them "2 mod gloves" which are worth less than 1c. Find a solid pair with crafted attack speed or open suffix to craft attack speed, get 80+ life and as much res as you can (2 solid rolls is best) - All your jewelry is pretty awful and finding decent starter jewelry should not cost very much. Start with like 3 mod + open prefix. Probably need a good intel roll on one + 60+ life + 30+EDWA then craft flat lightning on it and it will be a start. Your other ring should focus more on res as you won't need the intel. Get 30+ EDWA 60+ life and a bunch of res. Neither should cost you very much chaos. Your ammy is not that great and has no life at all on it. Start with a good base to get more intel or str or w/e you need, then get like 60-70+ life, 30+ EDWA. If you still need res (which you shouldn't) finish that up, if not try to get like 30+ crit multi and try to craft a suffix of global crit chance. - Claw can definitely get a lot better, but it is not awful atm. It is a solid 340 EDPS even though it doesn't have crit (which is pretty big) Worry about that last. When you upgrade gear and you have many many upgrades to do, always go for the listed uniques FIRST (rats/belly/lyco) then when it comes to rares just make sure you get as much life as possible and try to cap your resists. This allows you to map low-mid tier without any issues whatsoever. Then upgrade ONE piece at a time to its "final form". What I mean by this is start with like boots once you have 100c+ saved up or so. Get boots with your 80+ life 100+ all res with open prefix to craft MS. Each league will differ but can probably pick up a pair for like 10-30c. Stuff like that is what I consider your "upgrade or almost fully upgraded piece of gear. Then move on to like belt, save up currency and get your 30+ EDWA 80+ life 80-100+ total res belt. This will be much more expensive probably a couple exalts but then you don't really have to worry about that slot again unless much later on you want to completely min/max your build. I always save jewelry for last because it is the mose versatile as most ppl end up picking up rings/ammys, pretty easy to find the stuff you need. Getting currency is also not that hard. Don't pick up rares (outside of jewelry) and just pick up all your currency drops (no need for scrolls/augs/trans) but even chromes/alts/jews and anything higher are very easy to pick up. Just chain maps (even low/mid tier) and collect the stuff that drops. An hours worth of solid mapping should net you plenty of currency when you condense it down and you should be able to upgrade pretty fast. |

Thank you so much for your reply. Very nice pointers and a very clear view of what i need to go for going forward.
Super helpful, thank you so much! |

Hi guys! I'm playing this build in the flashback event and so far so good. Thanks for the detailed info!
Just one small tweak. If you struggle surviving you can get some extra life from the tree, left of finesse, and sacrifice some damage |
|
Thanks for the build. Lots of fun this league. This might be the only build I continue to play in Standard actually. I felt comfortable doing all content without much issue.
Here's what I ended with: Gear:
Spoiler
Passive Tree: Some tweaks to the build I made were the gem setup you can see in the gear above. I also took 2 passives instead of helping Alira which allowed me to take another jewel slot. I also didn't take Point Blank so I used Faster Attacks instead of Slower Projectiles. I just felt safer staying at a distance. Cheers |

Hey there, awesome guide! Will be using it as my league starter in June...quick question on the shield. Before we can afford lycosidae (prob an ex from the get go) what do you recommend?
