If you can afford to drop your belt, for sure.

The minions do not benefit from many of the buffs, but they do benefit from any Auras you get. Your golems would have to be really strong though; there's isn't much point having to stop every so often to wait for them to kill stuff, even though you're moving so quickly.

HH is pretty fun for clear-speed when you have high level Golems. Many auras gives speed which makes you and Golems run and clear faster. For leveling i*m not sure if its worth it as Golems damage is not yet 1-shot-kill high.

At endgame when you start to farm some lower tier maps for drops, HH can be nice speedboost. For everything else good Crystal belt wins it.

Hey!

Not really. Spirits damage is so low that they cant kill even rare monsters fast (dozens of K hp). In GM the health is much lower per target as all enemies have player EHP limit. Thats where they really shine.

When you run into proximity shield mob in maps, it's nice to pop spirits up and they will go inside the shield and kill the rare ;)

You can try to use it, but that's really a totally different build.

The strength of this build comes from the really strong 6L Golems buffed with Charges from Victario's Charity. Is the loss of those charges and an extra 6L golem worth it? Not at all for this build. Also, we don't scale Poison or Chaos damage much, if at all.

If you really want to use this unique, I suggest taking a look at other minion builds, such as SRS or Zombies, that use other 2H uniques such as Chober Chaber, Queen's Decree, Femurs of the Saints.

Of course, you can still make use of the other parts of this build, such as the really strong Temporal Chains combo.

Only physical and chaos damage can poison enemies. Flame Golems deal only fire damage, so they cant poison with it. With envy they will deal minimal chaos damage and can poison, but its only for the added chaos damage.

Last minion poison nerf patch really killed the uniteds as Melee minions have terrible AI, are super slow and most of them die too fast in high level boss fights. If I understand the poison damage is not double dipping anymore, so its almost unusable with minions.

The fire damage only applies to you so no benefit to the golems.

They're both good. Put it into PoB for your character to see which one is better for you. I'd recommend SotL since it doesn't have the low mana downside. Infernal Mantle's +30% Fire Damage does nothing for Minions.


Hi :)

SotL +2 is best armor for the Golems in league. Legacy +1 corrupt Infernal Mantle gives it good competition, but there are only so many in standard. New infernal mantle has too low ES to have significany ES boost over Sotl.

The fire damage line wont affect minions. Only lines with "minion" text affect them.

Desecrate can now only create monsters that are in the instance it is used in. In areas where no monsters have spawned, a specific desecrate table is used. This fixes a longstanding bug with the desecration list that had further problems introduced due to persistent spectres.


This line in content update 3.0.2 patch notes means that you can no longer reliably control which Specters can be spawned in high tier maps.

Specters are going to be persistent, but you cant find them in high tier maps if you are not using alteration / chaos spam to get line "area is habitated by *monster type you want to summon*"

This makes finding high tier Specters very tricky and will greatly affect Specter builds. I won't increase Specters role in my build as we are still pretty much restricted in using Specters from act areas.

On page 121 "makingmericagreatagain" suggest the jewel socket change, on page 122 you answer him saying that was a good idea :)

So... i can not take credit :)
I tried my best with my golemancer in the past month, but somehow I can only get around 6k ES in total (including buffs) (and 2k HP). Can anyone spare some mins and check out my character and give me some advice on this?

Hey :)

You have very heavily modified skill tree compared to my original one. You are missing :
- "Written in blood" right side
- "Nullification" right side
- "Purity of flesh" left side
- "Faith and steel" left side
With all those huge life / ES nodes taken you should be very close to 10k EHP.

I would drop all nodes below "Constitution" and take the mentioned life nodes with the freed points.
IF needed drop also the 3x nodes leading to the top-left jewel socket, you need EHP much, much more than few jewel sockets.

just quick question importance of animate golem? how much dps does it contribute?
Just started my first chat on harbinger league (I know, late to the party) with this build and I'm having a blast so far. The only problem I have is that it's hard to to start on if you don't have even a little currency to get gear for all your gem setups running. Next goal is to get a Vis Mortis which go for 8c which will be a huge boost.

I one shotted it on my first attempt. It was a really fun fight.

I actually attempted without Necromatic Aegis and none of my golems died (I dropped Necromatic Aegis since Flame Golem DPS just seemed stupidly high, and survivability became more important). Also did it without a guardian (I forgot to summon it).

Overall, it wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be with a movement speed potion. None of my Golems died or seemed to get close to dying. The Shaper itself didn't really regen much during phases since I was just speed running through the inbetween zones in his phases. Almost died once during the last phase when there were two shapers, but after that, he was dropping pretty fast.

The build I'm using is probably a little weird since I've been tweaking to my preferences a bit, but at it's core, it's still the standard build. The biggest difference is that I'm using zealot's oath with about 912.3 energy shield regen per second.

This has been an awesome build to play with. Thanks for the guide.

Hello :)

Animate Guardian has multiple uses :
- Heals team 6% per second
- Draws aggro from you and Golems
- Hinders enemies (-25% movement) and maims (-25% movement) if you link it with maim on hit
- Curses enemies with "Elemental Weakness level 10-12" which gives about 30% more damage to Golems

AG itself doesn't do almost any damage but works more like multi-tool.

Hey :)

Yep, starting late at league is pretty tough when everyone else is running endgame gear. Specters still work very good for leveling if you are low on currency and want to reach endgame without having to buy anima stone yet.

Now that Specters are permanent, you can try to summon higher level specters from maps if you meet them
as you get to keep em between sessions ;)

Ooh, +1 Sotl GZ! :D

You got so extreme high end armor that you can pretty much customize gear and skill tree heavily. Golems wont be dying to pretty much anything even without Necro Aegis and swapping shields.

You seem to be using the older Infernal Mantle tree even as you are using SotL. YOu can drop most of mana reduction nodes and take more EHP from right side of the tree. Check my new final tree for SotL as it might provide improvements for your tree also ;)

If you like ES regen, legacy Infernal Mantle with +1 level and legacy Elreon rings with increased maximum ES will push your ES even further. High level Stone Golem with enhancement buss is very clever with Zealoths Oath.
