I will echo this. EW looks great on your gloves. It really does. Albeit being a level 10-12 curse, having an additional ~30% penetration looks amazing, but it's actually one of the biggest noob traps. Once you put respectable gear together, clearing maps is only hindered by your movement speed, not your damage. In lieu of this, it is a far better investment to pick up a pair of gloves with Temp Chains on hit. The added slow won't help much with Shaper/Elder/End-game bosses but does wonders in clearing maps (and is a defensive boost as well), especially in more open maps. We can't run toxic sewers all day ;)

Everyone is always so yolo on damage when rounding out the weaknesses of a build nets a you better experience on the whole.

It's one thing to be scraping by on a 4L without Xoph's and some key components of this build, but entirely different when you have all the preemo gear and have so much overkill damage that stacking even more nets you literally nothing.

I totally agree with you but ele weakness still provides -6.2% resistance on guardians and shaper which is still a huge DPS boost once you start reaching the bigger numbers.

The 23% elemental will deal 3% more damage.

Basically, fire is a subset of elemental.

If you play a build that does damage with all 3 elements, 20% elemental will buff all 3 elements where as 20% fire will only buff the fire component.

Weapon color is fine unless you want to have the flexibility of swapping Ignite with Elemental Focus gem.

For chest, changing to 3R2B1G will definitely give you a big damage boost.

Second what @Djangooo said.

A level 12 Elemental Weakness curse on hit gloves will still give you at least 5% more damage on Shaper and it definitely scale upwards with better gears.

And pushing for more damage on Shaper is something that you don't want to miss.

the lightning golem is usually dead, just a summon for bosses? or thoughts on switching warchief and golem so he's cwdt? also are people really spamming enduring warcry or everyone go for that gem?

In theory it sounds solid, but in actual practice is actually terrible; a waste of links. Forget the golem. They are absolute trash and get annihilated end-game even if you beef them up with support gems. They are for leveling and mid game.

That's the thing, it's not by any stretch a huge dps boost. I have 411k dps against Shaper with intimidation/covered in ash buffs active (as well as Ancestral Protector, Blood Rage AS buff and HoA/Anger) at level 95. The curse bumps it up to 429k. That's absolutely nothing given the price. I beat Shaper with half that damage (I had 185k).

Damage is damage and you never want to forgo it, but other things should be considered. For example, I have 7.2k life. I could forgo life nodes on the tree and get my dps up to 495k (which is ~20% more) with 6.4k life but again, you're going to off-balance your build.

Too much offense and no defense means you'll be prone to dying a lot throughout varied content. Every boss has an element of RNG. Sometimes they are a calk walk and other times they one shot you. That's just how the game is built. It's important to be well rounded unless you plan to use the build for one specific purpose. And even then, there is still a bit of variance thanks to the tremendous RNG baked into this game.

If you want nothing but a Shaper farmer then push the boundaries for that specific map/task. But most people use it to clear the entire game. There are always trade-offs and gearing directly for Shaper/Elder will see you making sacrifices in other areas.

I was just wondering but what would the skill tree be with the voidheart ring? And if i'm to change to xoth, how many points would that be on the tree approximately?

I was also wondering how you effectively use Enduring Cry. Do you cast it from time to time or is there a better way of doing it? I'm lazy so I'm not doing it all the time :)

Had a ton of fun blazing trough all content available without investing more than a few exalts of gear.

Heres the proof:



Shaper and Vaal temple are a joke ,with the life version and almost 6200 hp u can even for the lolz survive a shaper slam :D

Only problem I faced was Hall of the Grandmasters, pvp map what a joy...managed to clear 2 wings tho :D
As a small tip for anyone trying it the block(aegis) dudes,turn off your auras and replace fortify with Leap slam and just melt them.
The real problem comes with ranged/chaos builds tho...
