Content Update 2.5.0 Patch Notes

ok, i'm done reading this...
thx ggg for changing the game like they always do.
personally i would add some more changes but i'm still ok for what they have done.
hype like always for the new league :)
maybe try to build some new op builds?
or wait for someone to do it for you if you are lazy, no one said you have to play day one.
i guess blight will be buffed in 3.0.0 again, but we will see

Blade Vortex before 2.5.0 :
1 stack - 2 hps - with 1000 dpb -> 2000 dps
20 stack - 40 hps - with 1000 dpb -> 40000 dps

Blade Vortex after 2.5.0 :
1 stack - 1.66 hps - with 700 dpb -> 1510 dps
20 stack - 4.98 hps - with 700 dpb -> 24402 dps


Except BV only hits once per second right now...

while I completely agree, this is just how GGG works. They've never really focused on the real problems and it's like they just use a dart board to decided what to work on. One of the biggest issues in the game right now is that armor gives almost no physical reduction to projectile attacks. It's been that way for more than a year. They only just realized it a month or two ago, and instead of fixing this, they are more worried about what Lioneye looks like. Or cape physics. Then they will let the BV million-DPS meta continue... but let's nerf Soul Strike. It's so irrelevant that, until now, no one's mentioned the nerf.

Btw, that other like 30% of positive feedback are full of brown nosers. There was one guy who said that any change GGG makes is a good change. I couldn't tell if he was serious or trolling.

I'm really baffled. The game is amazing, but the people making it have some of the most bass ackwards design philosophy. It's never going to be enough to ruin the game, but I'm disappointed because I know how much better it could be with focus on different areas.

I think you are either basing your 2 hits per second on the 0.5s cast speed on the wiki or the old reddit post about it hitting twice. In 2.2.0 the number of times a blade can hit the same target was halved making it 1 hit per second.

In effectiveness the new blade vortex is another this is a buff moment that people are failing to recognize. That is fine by me...no VP nerf, no Vinktar nerf, no "real" nerf to pathfinder if you know the tricks...I'm excited to rek this game again with BV and make stacks of exalts while everyone else is busy arguing about mjolner nerfs and how shit GGG is. I love GGG :) and hope they continue making PoE the greatest ARPG in the land.

Skill Balance Changes:
Blade Vortex has been refactored. Instead of separate hits for each active blade, the blades now increase the frequency at which all enemies in the radius take damage, and the amount of damage they take. The skill now has a base hit frequency of 600ms and has 10% increased hit rate per active blade. Its damage has been reduced by 30% at all levels and it deals 30% more damage per active blade.


I can't understand why people didn't get this is a buff of total dmg of this skill. Yes it will hit with a slighty lower rate but it deals greatly more dmg then now with at least around 10 actives blades, just invest on cast speed ad enjoy it like now. Feel free to clearly explain me where and if I'm wong, maybe with using some ACCURATE calculation.
