As with every evasion char I've played so far, I'm running into issues at level 92. It seems inevitable that you simply will get that unlucky streak of incoming hits and get oneshot every 5 maps, give or take. This leads to lvl 92 -> 93 taking an infinite amount of maps, since more exp is lost than gained. Don't even get me started on doing endgame content.
I believe that's the inherent nature of evasion characters, it will simply happen at one point, since you don't have layered defenses. There is no reasonable investment to be made to become not so squishy, so I will just focus on increasing dps to simply instakill bosses. I feel like this build got hit hard without instaleech vaal pact. Don't get me wrong, it's working great and the killspeed is insane. It's especially fun to run up to a t15 map boss when I have many headhunter stacks and just instakill it. I just wonder why I even try to get defenses since the inevitable oneshot is around the corner at all times. I guess I could put my lightning Warp & Portal setup into the weapon switch and have 2x Vaal Grace with inc duration instead.. Secondly, about my gear. I'm having a really hard time upgrading rings and amulet. I have so many exalts sitting around, but there are no rings and amulets on the market that have what I really want. On top of that, I need to upgrade all 3 at once, or my res would be messed up. Any advice? My current "best" idea: Skip life on jewelry, go for pure dps. Should make the selection a lot bigger and since I will get oneshot no matter how much defense I have, might as well go all in on the damage. " At this point of the league I would absolutly not suggest you to start with a 5L. Your single target dps is way to dependent of the key items Toma_Hawk listed in first post : 6L armor ; Dying Sun ; Barrage helm enchant. If you want to start a wander but don't have a 6L unique armor (QotF or any juicy unique armor for this build), then do like this : - Get a Tabula Rasa ; - When you have few chaos, get a rare corrupted 6L with some life (do not aim one with to much res, it can be tricky latter when you switch on QotF and mess up with your res) ; - Get a 6L QotF when you will have the currency. " We put 1 passive skill point in a "mana leech" node. There is 2 possibles spots on the tree : - In Essence Sap wheel ; - In Spirit Void - Vitality Void wheel (from the left side of the wheel). " The hard time you seems to have is because your res are a mess : 18/57/66 without flask. Your resistance MUST be caped, even without flask. Yes we are Pathfinder, Yes we are playing with 2 uniques flask who provide some res and max res. Yes we should be almost always under those buff. But it's still a temporary buff. So sometime, you will not be under those flask effect because you does not managed correctly your flask. This kind of shit happens time by time. Sometime, you will be with your raw res, and in T12+, being hit by an elementary spell or attack with barelly positives res will lead you to a certain death. And the time and amount of map you will have to spend in order to get your level 93 will mathematicaly augment the possib You have many possible source of res on your build. But you will need to get as much res on thoses slot. And it will be expensive. Here, you have locked to many slot where you normaly can get some res : gloves, boots, helmet, belt ... Honestly, it's to much. Imo, you should drop 1 or 2 slot in order to get your res caped. Headhunter is way to BiS imo to be moved. If I were you, I would do this : - Change the shield. 40 total res is abolutly not enought. I would aim for a shield with 1k+ eva, 80+ total res, 80+ life. It's ~1ex-100c to find one like this. - I would drop 1 unique item between boots, helmet (while you don't have tne +1 barrage enchant), or gloves. I would look for which slot would make me sacrifice the less dps. Imo, you may have to chose between Rat's Nest and Atziri. Atziri provide a good layer of defense which can be hard to remove, while Rat's Nest only provide pure dps. Imho, you can do a cleaver upgrade on this slot by geting a rare eva helm with the +1 barrage enchant. So this should gives help your single target dps, and your defensives stats. you can find some hybrid eva/armor with this enchant for 1ex, which is extremly afordable atm. Then craft if in order to get as much life and as much res, and as much eva as possible on this slot. Currently, this should give you +7% more dps for the raw enchant. You should alow drop Lightning Warp from your setup. It's useless. Go for a dual Vaal Grace + Inc dura setup. In addition, I would put Wrath in Tombfist supported by Empower 3-4. In shield I would put CwdT lvl 1 + IC lvl 3 + Golem lvl 20. For your rings and amu this will cost you buch of ex. You should aim, on ring, a base of 25+ flat light to attacks dmg & 30+ WED. Rest is just getting res/life. You should consider Diamond and Opal rings with shit suffixes if you can clean it with Haku "Prefixe cannot be change", then you can multicraft or slam some ex in them. For amulet, there is many possibility. You can have 4 extremly usefull dps affixes : - flat light to attacks ; - WED ; - Crit multi ; - Crit chance. Flat and Crit chance can be master crafted, so eventualy, you can drop one of them in order to master craft it. But imo, your amulet is excellent. You may keep it for the moment while it's a very balanced one. Personnaly last leagues I succed to balance my res without amu slot. This alow me to multicraft an extremly offensive amu (visible in my profil on my std wander LAGROSSETHERESE). With this much of offensive affixes, it will be hard to have more than 1 res. Otherwise, this mean you will have to drop one crit affixes, which will cost you a bunch of dps. For jewelry, do not underestimate multi-craft solution. It can provide you an extremly ballanced solution, and it will limit the cost of those slots. You are presently at a point where you must made a choice between 1 of extremly strong unique in order to balance your defensive stats with a rare item. You can probably drop Tombfist for Elder/Shaper with an extra 5th link. and get a bunch of res on it. You can drop Rat's Nest for a rare +1 barrage enchant. Or you can also drop Atziri's step for a rare pair of boots with a huge amount of res. But trying to have 75 to all your res will be extremely costy and almost impossible otherwise. I'm struggling with health any dps, not sure whether i am at an "okay" dps or not but it would seem i have to sacrifice a lot of it in order to boost my hp(only got 3700).
I'd also like to ask, since i followed the guide gearing with flasks most recently. I have all the 3 nodes, +10% and 8x2% flask effect, i have the jewel with +8% flask effect and i have the 4 talents for +20% flask effect, equals a total amount of 54% - But i still don't get an additional projectile from dying sun :( Has that been nerfed and not updated to the original post, and if so i assume both the jewel and the nodes are, all things considered - horrific? " From what I see in your profil, it's easy to explain why your dps does not seems to be as high as we could expect from this level of stuff. There is many mistake. But fortunatly, they are easy and cheap to solve. And at the same time you need some expensive upgrades. There is also big mistake in your gems setup. You need to support your Wrath gem with at least an Empower 3. And vaal your Wrath, if you fail and being downgraded from 1 level, buy a lvl 20 corrupted. Your boots setup is a waste. Recolor this item put you Wrath, Ice Golem, Empower and Enlight inside. In wand, put, one of the 3 gems setup from OP first post. Or a CwdT/inc dura/Immortal Call setup. Your added lightning dmg support in your Barrage setup is trash. A corrupted 20/20 cost like 7c. Fixe this. There is some basic mistake on your tree. Follow this one instead. List of what you have done wrong : - You don't need to set 3 points in mana Essence Sap wheel in order to get mana leech. A single point should be way enought. - 2 nodes from Crackling Speed are good but only when you will be 95+. - Written in blood wheel is the last hp you should aim for. And not before lvl 92+. If you respected the point from Essence Sap, Crackling Speed, and Written in Blood, you should have 8 extra skill point left from this point you should do this : - Get Alchemist wheel (witch area). Those nodes are mandatory in this build. You should rush for it as soon as possible in leveling. They are way to juicy for Pathfinder to miss them. With this you will gain the extra projectil from Dying Sun. - Get Hearthseeker. - Get Heart of Oak From what I see of your stuff, you already have the key items of the build, and are well geared. But few things are messing all you stats. First I think you are mistaking Conqueror Potency with Inspired Learning. With this tree, Inspired Learning is absolutly useless. We can play this jewel, but this implies to have a dedicated tree for this. So, it's in many way a different build. You need to switch this jewel for this one. This switch should give you a positive balance of currency. And from what I see on your stuff, you should have the dps in KB to drop Thunderfist for an other pair of gloves. Look for gripped gloves with 70+ life / dual 40+ res. Master craft some AS and you will be good. Lycosidae is a good shield, but with your Piscator, you should have 90% chance to hit even without it. So switch to a rare eva shield with at least 1k eva / 80+ life / 80+ total res. This should give you much more flexibility on rings in order to add some dps affixes. Your 2 rings should be changed. Depend on your level of currency, but aim for >25 flat light dmg + >30 WED as base. 1 good res with a bit of life should be affordable, and not too hard to find at descent price. And you should not need as much res as you have right now if you switch Lyco & Thunderfist for rare items with high res. The cheap solution is to take Coral or Resist base ring. Mid level solution is to aim for Diamond ring. For high end stuff, aim for Opal base. You can also try multicraft rings. They can be extremly helpfull by providing up to 5 usefull affixes. Static Electricity is good for leveling, but at high level it's a waste of jewel sock. Aim for an abyssal jewel with t1 flat light, some life and an extra dps mods (second flat light or crit multi, or Attack Speed mods). This should cost around 60+ chaos. |

Yes the tree might be old and outdated(the one you view) because i did use inspired learning for the fun for about a day or so earlier.
I did however change and also picked the alchemist nodes and got a total of 54% but i still didn't fire that extra projectile for some reason - Hence i was wondering if that has been nerfed/changed? Will look up the rest however, thanks for the advices! I did respeccing some while waiting for a reply and removed some dps and picked up some more healing, so standing in hideout completely unbuffed(no wrath etc.) 22700 barrage and 22500 kinetic blast. I did use empower earlier but didn't boost more than 1000 dps and i was short on an enlighten so was sort of low mana, but will go back to try it, maybe invest in a lvl 3 enlighten to back up the empower - Or does it have to be a lvl 4 enlight? Standing at 4300 hp now so it feels slightly better, still doubtful if that 600 hp will save my ass when the time comes tho.. ^^ Like right now, i'm sitting watching the three nodes(alchemist), my 4 ascendancy nodes and the conquerors potency and still no +3 projectiles from dying sun. Tried relog but still same :( Edit: Just noticed i forgot to remove the inspired jewel after playing around with it, at least one issue resolved. (: But if i can't get that 1 additional projectile(even so i stand at 54% now), it's not a good option to take the 3 nodes at alchemist compared to pure dps talents or 1 additional jewel slot? Duh.. Idiot friend who told me to look at the dying sun for the +3..

" Do not wast time searching for any indication about this extra projectile from Dying Sun in your tooltip. The game add it but does not mention it in anyway. If you have any doubt about it load your character in PoB, set your skill on Barrage and add/remove Conqueror Potency or a node like Alchemist. While this jewel or this node does not provide any dps affixe, you will see a big variation in your dps. For Wrath + Empower 3, a variation of 1k dps on a tooltip dps of 23k is consistant. It realy worth it. Just as upgrading your 19/20 add light gem for a 20/20 or a 21/20. And for your information, in harbinger league, my wander had 23k dps in barrage. It was way enought to do all guardian and shaper deathless in terme of pure dps as long as you have your 6L, Dying Sun and the barrage enchant. |
