Heya! I started last league with this build because I totally like it and I didn't care if you said it was not idiot proof. Which you were right haha but I had lots of fun so I'm re making it! Thank for this awesome guide, defo made it fun to learn PoE from stratch.
I just have one question. You did recommend grabbing a mana leech node if there was issues. I'm just wondering where your regen is coming from? I can't seem to find the source. I want to get rid of it but I can't seem to regen fast enough. I'm not empowered yet so my mana pool is bigger but I can't seem to regen fast enough without the leech. " I check you're char and first of all you have wrong flask, grab a stibnite flask and a jade, armor flask is useless with this build, also you go for some damage nodes like throatseeker, respec some of this point a go for the alchemist point, is a hufe buff for survive. You're gear is fine and is not possible for be stucked in t1-2. Check the flask guide from Toma and look for the same flask ^^ |

" There is major errors on stuff, in tree, and in flasks. On stuff : - Low rolled Piscator. Aim for a 16+AS / 385+accu / 28+ crit / 110+ wed ; - 0 dps mods on rings and amu. Thoses slots can bring you a lot of usefull dps affixes. Getting at very least one T1 dps affixe is the very minimum. Get a couple of flat light to attacks & WED on rings, and flat & crit multi on amu (craft crit chance). This should help a lot. - Wrong balance in res. In the trio slot helmet, gloves and boots, you only play uniques with no resist. It's not impossible to do like this, but only when you are extremly well geared and totaly understand how this build work (so a point were you don't need any help). If you don't realy know what you are doing or what to fixe, then applie this rule : 1 rare item to get some resists. The easier way would be, imo, the boots. Atziri is an extremly good pair of boots, but at the same time, a good pair of rare boots with good resist is also a good choice. This should help you to free some affixes slot on ring and amu (and lower their price). - Focus yourself on geting the 2 other key items for this build. 1st is Dying Sun. 2nd is +1 Barrage enchant on helmet. Keep your currency for this and only this. It's your top priority. - Get a good Stygian Vise (craft one from a ilvl 84 base of buy one). - You have jewel sock but no jewel inside. It's pure waste. Put Abyssal jewel with dual flat light mods (generic flat light and flat light to wand) or at least 1 T1 flat light (prefer magic with "to wand" affixe, you will have a better chance to roll the light flat generic with a regal). This should help a lot your dps. On flask : - 1 Eternal life flask with following affixes : 50% instant recovery when you have a hard time is a must have. Anti bleed on 1 flask is mandatory. Eternal flask are better than Divine because of the duration. The shorter the life flaks is, the faster your life will come back. So having your life back in 2 sec is better than in 7 second (thx lot cap' obvious). - Rest of flask should be : Eternal life flask, Dying Sun, Vinktar (Pene until you have currency for Attacks version), Jade flask, Stibinte flask. You can also have a Quicksilver flask in inventory for maping that you switch before boss arena with Jade or Stibinte. - Every rollable flask must have the "% inc duration" or "% inc effect / % reduc duration" prefixe. Previous league I went for % inc duration. But with the buff of Nature's Boon, a % inc flask effect might be slightly better. This should be tested. But keep in mind that those 2 affixes are BiS. - On rollable flasks you should have the following suffixes : 1 anti-curse flask, 1 %evasion flask, 1 %move speed flask. I would personnaly recommand you to get the anti-curse on Stibnite (it's the flask with the longest duration). - 20% quality is mandatory on every single flask. If you have QotF 6L, then geting ~60 Glassblower should not be a big deal (do the Glassblower recipe if you are short on currency). It will help you a lot. Keep in mind 1 thing : Non unique flask can be found on market with the good rolls for something like 10c. Snip them. They will be extremly usefull. Don't try to do the economy of currency on them. It's one of the most common and bigest mistake we see from players. On tree, there is step to follow in the progression : - Step 1 : Grabs ALL nodes in Slayer area. It's a well ballanced start area with life, leech and dps nodes. Your tree should looks like something like this. - Step 2 : Grab all nodes except Point Blank and crit nodes on the Path from Slayer to Shadow area. In shadow area, do not take crit nodes Assassination and node behind. Rush to Alchemist and Fusillade node in Witch area. Your tree should looks like this if you play a wander. - Step 3 : Start to grab all non crit dps nodes, jewels nodes, and only the juicy crit nodes. Your tree should looks like something like this. - Step 4 : You get crit nodes, and start to grab the Shadow area nodes. You should have your full ascendency from this point. Your tree should looks like this. - Step 5 : You enter in the end game tree, and should be well geared (2/3 key items). From this point you should have enought dps to respect leech nodes in Vitality Void wheel and just rely on Vaal Pact + Blood Drinker and 1 small mana leech node in Spirit Void or Essence Sap wheel. Then you grab the last nodes left, and get Point Blank. From 1 to 3 extra node should set in 5% life node behind Bravery, Golem's Blood, and Cruel Preparation. The tree. - Step 6 : lvl 92+ Respect the 3 extra 5% life and take Thick Skin wheel. Go for the jewel socket near Phase Accrobatic. Tree. - Step 7 : lvl 100 tree you have Written in Blood wheel and Crackling Speed. Tree. In summary for the tree : Go for Slayer area, get some leech, dps and life nodes. Then grab only generic dps nodes, avoid crit nodes, and rush for flasks buff nodes. Then, arround lvl 80, start to grab crit nodes. But firstly the crit multi nodes, then crit chance. Always check out on PoB which crit wheel will gives you the biggest buff to define the order of what you should take first. Life should come in end game when you will start to have a taste of end game content. It will be the very moment when you will realy need a big pool of life. Before you farm T14+, 3.7-4k HP is enought if your gameplay and your dps are high enought. Last edited by LAGROSSESIMONE#3551 on Mar 14, 2018, 7:27:04 AM

" ty ill look into it ive currently got a nice set of currency my single target is a bit weak been noticing |

Until we get a 6L what is the ideal 5L gem set up for barrage? Drop slower proj?

I will post my answer to your PM with 1-2 extra info :
This was a question I asked myself in previous league. My conclusion is simple : if you are at the point to get your 6L, then, you certainly don't have yet the other key items (Dying Sun, and +1 barrage helmet). So your single target dps is certainly extremly low. If you are in this situation, then I would absolutly NOT recommand to go for a 5L unless at the very begining of the league if you did a wander as a league starter. Imo there is 3 level of gearing on chest : 1. You are extremly low on currency -> Get a Tabula Rasa ; 2. You have few chaos, but not enought for a good 6L unique armor -> go for a 6L corrupted rare with life and res ; 3. You have the currency for a 6L unique armor -> go for it (QotF, Belly, Shroud, etc.). QotF is a top option because of the move speed buff and the level of evasion. Move speed isn't so much needed in this build if you have rolled correctly your flask. With Nature's Boon buff, you can get almost permanently under quicksilver buff. Yes it's an incredible buff of move speed, but it's not mandatory to makes the build works. QotF evasion is extremly high, but it will show it's real power only if you have high evasion item on almost every slot (shield, boots, gloves, helmet). And this only happen when you already have all key items. So from this point, it should be totaly secondary in this situation. If you go for a rare corrupted 6L with life/res, don't get to much res on the chest (idealy, with as much res as a mid rolled QotF), otherwise, when you will switch to QotF, your res will be fucked up, and this might force you to change more slot than only the chest. Keep in mind that this 6th link gives ~30% MORE dps. It's an extremly high dps buff. So do not take it lightly. |

" Sorry to tell you but you are doing something horrible wrong then. I am running up to t10 maps (didnt drop higher yet) with now lvl87 and worse items then you have. I have a rare 5l body, self found rings ,1c amulett ,3c shield ,1c piscators and no evasion flasks yet (no linked qotf so i dont feel they are better then onslaught/quicksilver). I even did uber lab by myself today. (For full gear you can check AnotherLeagAnotherWand char ) I cant check yours atm cause i am on mobile but as i said you get up to t10 with litteraly garbage/1c gear. |

Thanks for all of the help buys. Between some gear issues and my tree being all messed up I got it sorted out thanks to a post above.
Thanks again and this build is super fun! |
