I've just bought the dying sun, what should I work on next?



I have a few things in mind, but not sure about the order of priority:
1. more abyss jewels
2. better amulet
3. better ring
4. +1 helmet or 40% increased damage barrage helmet
5. 6L qotf
6. 20/0 or 20/20 gems
7. Wise oak

Apart from that I have a few more questions:
1. Starkonja's or Rat's nest to enchant?
2. Atziri's Step vs Thunderfist? I can only choose one for resists

It's only an upgrade if you have a bunch of abyss jewels to play with ;)

That reddit thread though, everyone of his Standard friends coming in to trash triple-ele rolls like they were bad before he made that wand. Smh -_-

Post-Edit: I also PoB'd this wand against Phoenix Song and it did LESS damage without Abyss Jewels.
I went with all Attack Speed with Wands, % life, and attack speed cobalt jewels.

Does this just mean that Abyss Jewels will be better than Attack speed jewels in the future? (when Abyss Jewels roll over to Standard?)

People still probably want to go Phys wand on STD i would think?

None of those people who trashed Phoenix Song or the one that got made before it in HSC (388 edps version, forgot the name) were people I knew.

I actually considered buying the 388 version (the original) in harbinger because I liked it so much, those guys crafted insane items for a temp league and at that point it was super hard for me to imagine a better wand would ever exist.

Of course you need abyss jewels, but I don't get your point. Any build is about min/maxing, so of course you'll need to make use of the best item combinations available out there.

As for going phys: I've done many hours of theorycrafting when those new mods were announced, dps wise ele wanders are the way to go now (Due to stacking flat lighting on abyss jewels and the new items and mods released).

Ofc that doesn't mean any of the former mirror tier items are bad, in case you think I'm trashing those again, they are all still perfectly viable. ^^

hey guys. so im in on xbox so i entered my stuff in pob. if yall could take a look and help me out. im trying to get the +1 enchant. theres only one ive seen so far on a devotos, and the guy took it down saying he was gonna hold onto it. so im using the 40% damge, i also hae the attack speed. and regular rats nest. please take a look and help with your suggesstions. thank you

I still don't understand why leaving out life leech nodes (which brings down life leech rate by a lot on path of building) and the sense of keeping blood rage which can be pretty dangerous for single target if we can't leech constantly and have to dodge stuff

Got to level 80 and made the switch. I am satisfied with my dps numbers (although nowhere near OP's, but my gear is nowhere near either) but I wanted to see if anyone can take a look at my items to see any glaring issues. My life pool is only 3600, so I need to get that fixed asap, but it's a bit of a balancing act due to so many different damage mods to focus on both on items and build.

But anyway, if anyone can take a look at my character (LesbianScissorTechnique on Abyss) it'd be appreciated.

Your gear is good. On mobile so can’t see your tree and abyss jewels atm. I would say get a piscator with culling strike and more leves for hp nodes and so forth.

You should get 20/20 gems asap (buy corrupted ones and start leveling new ones in offhand weapon slots).

Hey thanks for your post, i just realized that my Passive trees in the guide were not a 100% up to date.

In regards of your post.
Vitality Void is giving me around 350 Leech/On Hit Rate which is 15% more of what i already have.
Sacrificing 3 Points for that is quite hefty.
In your case you might not deal enough Damage to hit the limit of Life you can leech per Second with 0.4%?
Not sure, just test it in PoB.
My Leech/On Hit Rate with only Vaal Pact and 0.4% Life leech is 2374.8.

That's more than enough, which you can see in my recent Video i made (doing red elder guardians and elder himself without using the Vinktar)
