Hey guys,

Here's my passive tree, I'm level 75. I had to spec over from another build that I didn't really like as much. I pretty much have the bottom filled out but the top working on. Is there anything I should respec to help? I am having a little trouble with some of the tier 2-4 bosses (could be gear related)
Thanks!

It would help if we could see your gear. Even the perfect level 100 tree is nothing with really bad/wrong gear.

That's a great build you have! I tried making a more HHC and realistic build for myself undercutting certain areas since I'm not sure what kind of gear I will have besides the uniques. After doing so I am under in Life which is from the gear but what I don't understand is how there is so much loss in damage. When I compared the two builds I unchecked "intimidated" and gave both sides a Piscator's. With that I lack 700k DPS on Barrage and 30k DPS on KB. Is there a big reason for that? Another question is there any nodes I can lose to gain more life nodes? With my build already lacking damage I'm afraid to lose even more but my Life is pretty low.

Hi! Thanks for the well written guide. So I am about done with my league starter (the go-to AWC totem lab farmer), have amassed a bit of currency and it’s about that time of the league to start the more interesting second build of the league.

Earlier in the league I managed to get a +2 barrage enchant on a well rolled Devoto’s and it hasn’t sold up until now and this has affected my decision to possibly try this build. As for my question : is it worth breaking the bank / my lab runner’s back to try get a +2 enchant Rat’s Nest instead, or is Devoto’s with the +2 good enough? ie: *how much better* is the Rat’s Nest?

Thanks for reading, appreciate any advice given.

If you can get enough crit elsewhere then Devoto's can even be better but that's not going to happen so it's okay at best.
I'm really torn here. Haven't bought any upgrades to the build for a little while so wanted to try something new so yesterday I splashed out 50 chaos on this little kit:

Wands could obviously be way better but then again they were dirt cheap (seeing as it's got both caster & attack stats which people generally don't pay any extra for) and do what they need to do. Already now this was a noticeable upgrade from my pretty decent wand and +1 barrage Starkonja's and going all the way and buying a +1 barrage crown of eyes would take my dps from 1.47M to just under 2M (probably a bit more if I tweak the tree and take advantage of the Twin terrors cluster for 125% crit chance).

Thing is I'm just not sure if it's worth going for. It would mean giving up certain aspects of this very nice build. I take quite a bit of a life hit from loosing shield + Starkonja's. Resists being shit means that I probably have to drop the boots for resist boots (or is it enough to cap resists with sun + vinktar active?). In the end with these changes total evasion will obviously suffer a bit.

So pros and cons... It is very tempting getting 30-40% more dps for almost no money at all at a point when every percentage of increase is costing 100+ chaos. However 5k life feels a bit on the low side and I'm not 100% it's worth it. I constantly chase bigger dps numbers but I don't enjoy being a glass cannon.

Anyways - just wanted to throw a variation out there and see if anyone has give dual wielding a try and get some feedback on how it worked out (doubt it though as the wands need to have some sort of global benefits and using spell dmg and crown of eyes is the only one I've been able to think of that's really worth it).

Sorry if the idea ventures too far away from the original build.

By the way, how good is this compared to a Piscator's? http://puu.sh/xrT9O/fca8934315.png

They're going for like 25ex, worth paying? HSC.

By the way, what's the best enchant for Kinetic Blast?

Pretty sure it's either 40% extra damage or the 75% extra explosion. I'm inclined to say it is the extra damage since it adds 40% straight damage, while the other even if it was a guaranteed extra explosion it would mean it just gives 25% extra damage since the basic spell creates 4 explosions?

I've been tinkering with PoB for quite a while now, and I noticed that without really good opal rings, it's very hard for a wand to replace Piscator's. It's just way better to invest that ex into +2 rat's nest. Judging by your question about KB enchant, I assume you don't have it yet.

I wouldn't even bother with enchants for KB, just go for 40% barrage damage if you're poor.. they go for ~60c most of the time - and it's a decent upgrade til you hit that 2 proj barrage on your second Rat's nest - or until you can afford one.

Here's the thing:

The +2 barrage enchant will give me 2 projectiles, so I'll shoot 9 instead of 7, this represents a damage increase of 28.57% with Dying Sun up. Now, if I can get a wand that gives me a 50% DPS boost for a bit less, then I'll go for that because of two reasons:

1. I like my KB being strong as fuck for no reason. :p
2. Int requirement is lower and this would help me equip a ring I've got since I'm lacking some int and having to find a super high res ring with Int is a pain.
3. Money-wise it is indeed more effective. I'd rather pay 23ex for a 25% damage increase now than pay 35ex for a slightly bigger one.

Hence why I asked the other two questions:

1. When using Path of Building to check how much DPS an item is gonna give me, which fields should I be checking? I mean:

http://puu.sh/xrLOV/c5a7a1099b.png

What's my DPS increase gonna be? I assume 24.1%, but also it says average damage is gonna increase by 9.4% so it makes sense too. Will getting that item increase my DPS by 24% or by 9%? If it is 24%, how come my average damage is 10% higher but my DPS would be 24% higher? I don't get it.

2. Is that wand I linked before worth the price I mentioned? Don't really wanna go and overpay that much.

Thanks in advance!

Stand out gear problems would be missing defense flasks. Otherwise it's just levels, you're only 75, just get up into the mid 80s at least and you will be getting stronger.
