[2.6] SignalShot™ CI Full Ele Conversion TS/Barrage / Shaper & Uber Deathless / with video!
I just wanted to highlight an alternate way of generating power and frenzy charges that some other builds utilize. If you slot Intuitive Leap near the Melding Cluster, you gain access to Overcharged, Melding, and even Dreamer. Overcharged will be enough to generate Frenzy and Power Charges for mapping purposes, and even the Endurance Charges will offer a measure of protection particularly against physical damage. Against bosses, either you'll still have your charges up when you transition from mobs to the boss, or if you're too slow then you can always switch to your secondary weapon slot to generate power charges (via Brinerot Flag or Jaws of Agony). You shouldn't resort to using PCoC in any of your links. Using Intuitive Leap has the added benefit of using HoA over HoT/HoI to boost dps while still retaining your charge generation, and also allow you avoid the problem of hexproof maps. Ok guys after some hours of mapping got tired and start playing with path of building looking for a bow upgrade.. (warning IMAGES in spoilers!!)
i was looking for something better for facetanking guardians/shaper so i enabled the point blank damage in the configuration. also the helmet had +2 barrage enchantment for more fair comparison.
Spoiler
my death's opus = 2.84M/s
Spoiler
my reach of the council (double legacy) dps = 2.90M/s
Spoiler
brood twine best bow dps = 3.49M/s
Spoiler
and... . . . a chin sol dps = 3.74M/s!
Spoiler
do you see any error in the calculations? pitty i don't have a 6L vaal regalia to test it, but i post it here if anyone wants to.. Last edited by stred_#1662 on Apr 16, 2017, 11:57:27 PM

Hey guys i am feeling short on damage and es currently. Can someone please take a look at my profile which I think I set to public correctly and help me with where I should spend my currency?

Would be nice to have a "leveling" section in this guide to show players how to transition from Life->CI. Looking at the tree I can't really tell what nodes to go for first...
All that and a bag of chips!

" PoB gives some pretty suspect numbers from what I've seen so far, so I'd be a little wary. In any case I thought it would be a good idea to run some in-game comparisons with all 4 bows. I took screen captures of the barrage tooltip dps in hideout with Ice Golem and Discipline/HoA/Hatred for each bow, and then I did it again with all flasks activated and 4 power charges generated. While the gear used is pretty high end, its how the numbers compare that's important, not so much the numbers themselves. The flasks I used: All of the tooltips were then multiplied by the following: x10-14 for the number of barrage arrows x1.5 for Point Blank x1.5 for Shock The elemental penetration roughly cancels out the boss resists because I'm using a Taste of Hate instead of Wise Oak. Wise Oak would give slightly better dps, but Taste of Hate can give pretty significant physical damage mitigation, especially if the legacy version is used (resulting in the mitigation of around 37% physical damage). Lastly, all actual calculated dps values are in fact higher because Diamond Flasks don't show up on tooltip. To get the precise values more extensive calculations would need to be performed. Death's Opus (196dps):
Spoiler
Reach of the Council (362dps):
Spoiler
Brood Twine (607dps):
Spoiler
Chin Sol (288dps):
Spoiler
Total dps (versus shockable bosses) with Golem, Auras, Power Charges, and Flasks: Death's Opus: 145,924 x 12 x 1.5 x 1.5 = 3,939,948 dps Reach of the Council: 170,524 x 14 x 1.5 x 1.5 = 5,371,506 dps Brood Twine: 409,497 x 10 x 1.5 x 1.5 = 9,213,682 dps Chin Sol: 126,377 x 2 x 10 x 1.5 x 1.5 = 5,686,965 dps As I mentioned above these values are actually higher because of the Diamond Flask. Additionally, the dps can be further increased by using Elemental Weakness on a Spell Totem, activating Vaal Haste and Blood Rage, or even swapping in another dps flask over the Quicksilver Flask. It is also possible to have all Frenzy Charges up in some fights if the boss is fought immediately after fighting regular mobs in the map. Conclusion? If you're using Death's Opus, Reach of the Council, or any comparable Harbinger, create a 6L Barrage set-up in your chest, and put Chin Sol in your secondary weapon slot. Switch to Chin Sol during boss fights, but make sure you get as close to the boss as possible to trigger the Chin Sol bonus, trigger the Point Blank bonus, and ensure that all arrows hit the target. Here's how close you need to be, courtesy of the wiki: Last edited by DicemanX#7029 on Apr 17, 2017, 9:46:08 AM

Could you give me ur opinion on how to spent 90 EX in Legacy to build the best DPS possible Singla Shot? I would rly appreciate the help, i played a little with it with low gear and i liked it, beside being 15k Barrage i could kill Mino just ok, so i decided to give that build a shoot and put all currency into it. I did sell my previous gear with a profit thats why Im at 90 EX now. Left with these for now but they were cheap so i probably gonna buy better also got this flasks and Energy from Within. So what i should prioritize and how i should spent my money for the best possible outcome also thanks for stred_ for his tips and helps (i did play a little with that build and decided to go for it) Last edited by Hejti#4526 on Apr 17, 2017, 9:46:53 AM

Hi guys, which aura setup is best for this build. I'm seeing people using HoI and HoA or HoI and Hatred. Any advice?

" To add, Dice your setup is out of this world and you have literally 200 more increased physical damage than most high end versions of this same build. In nearly all other setups, the power of hatred, PPAD, added fire damage from rings and flat physical will be vastly weaker and is the reason why opus will give BT a run for it's money. BT+PPAD+Hatred and a lot of physical increased damage from jewels is going to be insanely strong but opus+PPAD+hatred without a lot of physical increased damage is going to hit like a wet noodle. Well, really no one should be using PPAD hatred on opus, theyd be using wrath and added light anyways. There are very few setups where hatred+ppad outperforms wrath+added light or similar. Try running the numbers on lower end gear sets and you will see how much weaker the above mentioned scalars are. There are so few situations where T1 flat on ring will outdo even T2 light even when you are using hatred. i would like to thank Dice for taking the time to test my thoughts!
i also agree with the most _Saranghaeyo_ and Nephalim said.. 4 things: 1. tooltip damage not counting diamond flask it's a problem because with low crit bows as chin sol gives way more dmg than high crit as brood twine 2. wise oak = 40% light and fire pen (+13% light pen from tree) 3. i play this build as budget as it can be.. so yeah budget = wrath/hot and scale light dmg as much it can be for example this ring: not perfect for this buid in general but for me its awesome! 4. in my calculation i also use elem. weakness lvl20 in a cwdt setup
Spoiler
still i think the most correct way to test CHIN SOL is if i ever manage to 6 link a vaal regalia.. and run white minotaur maps
/edit @_Saranghaeyo_ hatred and hoa as you have guessed in my setup with brood twine give together less dmg than wrath+hot -- because of the light pen i guess? edit probably not because of the light pen. but because i have all lighting dmg everywhere.. gem setup etc. Last edited by stred_#1662 on Apr 17, 2017, 11:08:43 AM

" Fair point. Let's try Opus again, this time with HoT/Wrath and Level 21 Added Lightning in the barrage links (Barrage-Ele Focus-WED-Added Lightning-P2L-Slow Proj): Hideout with Golem and Auras: With Golem, Auras, Flasks, and 4 Power Charges: The dps versus shockable bosses should be around: 136,473 x 12 x 1.5 x 1.5 x 1.3 = 4,790,202 The 1.3 multiplier (which is a rough approximation) accounts for running Wise Oak and the fact that the Vinktar penetration is much more of a dps boost because the lightning damage accounts for around 73% of the total damage. As before the actual dps is higher because the Diamond Flask is not being factored into the equation. Granted the tree could use some tweaks to optimize for Opus (changing some of the phys scaling nodes to WED nodes, since I don't take Forces of nature) and some of the jewels would benefit from swapping the phys damage affixes to damage/proj damage affixes, but I don't anticipate that this will make a huge difference overall - maybe 5-10% more damage. However, speccing into some of the lightning damage nodes that come with penetration could make a big difference - I'll check that out a little later. Bottom line is that indeed Opus can be a powerhouse with the right set-up :). I still have to test the Lightning penetration gem too. I'll see if I can come up with a much more optimal set up and well compare the calculations by hand with what poB tells us. Incidentally, here's the above hideout set-up with Thunderfist: I lose 12% increased attack speed but gain 1-100 lightning damage - I gain more from the flat lightning damage because I have a lot of attack speed scaling on jewels and on rings. The upside to Thunderfist is that it can save exalts if you don't wish to get a linked Opus, or reserve those links for some beastly Ranged Totem set-up. Whether thunderfist is a serious option remains to be seen. Last edited by DicemanX#7029 on Apr 17, 2017, 11:29:59 AM
