Does the nerf of rotc apply to a legacy version too?

I think the wording implies that they will be legacy.

WHY is everyone so concerned about Reach of the council?

Death Opus is a much better bow, after the nerf of rotc even more.
It should be able to counter a 350dps harbinger with same crit bade for sure

Once you have Sun you can even drop GMP
Because a legacy RoTC is equivalent to 490 DPS Harbringer.
What I don't get now is why the soon to be double legacy RoTC have doubled in price... wtf they were already legacy. So they were unobtainable any way. They announce the nerf of the future nonlegacy, so the price of the +4 arrow non legacy shoud increase a bit. But what has this to do with the already legacy? Damn this economy is so psyhological...

I guess it will be easier to get a 400dps harbinger then a legacy legacy rotc anyway, talking about temp leagues

Just ensure you are crit capped with dia flask and you should be fine
Skyforth should be the focus

So how does the Reach of the Council nerf affect this build?

Not that it bothers me, because I never got one, but still, it was the BiS-Weapon or not?

If anything it will be cheaper and thus you can pick one up before your gg bow.

I will be rolling pathfinder but a different build to level and farm. Eventually transition into this.

Curious what build you're planning on rolling to transition into this?

Weapon critical strike chances have been adjusted. Most critical chance values have been reduced on base types that could have over 6.5% base critical chance. This is to create a more distributed choice of weapon types for critical strike characters.

Anyone knows if this applies to bows aswell?

I am not seeing any numbers regarding this.

Or is it just like an introduction to the dagger base nerf mentioned below in the patch notes?

I notice this as well. If they are not already selling at the current (legacy) price, they are definitely not going to sell doubling it.

While you may get a boost in awareness for both versions, I agree the only one appreciating some in value is the already nerfed one.
I am going to try this build in the new league.

I will level a Ranger but wont be using the same skill set until late game.

Prob try find a decent leveling build...

So many decisions to make :O

Does anyone know of a good starter build to use while transitioning / farming to fund this build? I know its popular to go king of the forest, but I dont want to level an assassin and then switch to pathfinder and level again. I'd like to stay ranger the entire time.
I don't see why you can't just do this to level, it's what I'm going to do for my league starter/probably only.

Just start off life/traditional build, and respecc as you get better stuff.
