I want to run some tests with this gem. I have a question for some of you that have done some testing already.

This does not effect attack speed mods in any way with the like 48% slower projectile speed? I am guessing it will slow down the arrow speed if you are not in point blank range and have to spam barrage from a distance yet can someone verify? I know paper damage numbers are about 10k higher yet I have always worried it would effect the speed of the barrage and attack speed of the arrows and reduce leeching ability?

Also Can someone explain the real difference in attack speed mods vs projectile speed mods. I never quite understood it entirely except for it slowing down projectiles thus making the range of the projectile maybe shorter. If anyone has an easy to understand knowledge of like Attack speed IAS vs Slower projectile mods on the gem I would greatly appreciate some help understanding the mechanics of it.

Thanks a million in advance.

Hi there, you should always be in point blank range when firing barrage so the dps loss shouldnt ever be a problem, the leech potential is so high that the only thing you need to move from is big 1 shots, then you are straight back into point blank range

and the difference between attack speed and and projectile speed are as follows:

attack speed is how fast YOU shoot the arrows from the bow.

projectile speed is how fast the ARROW travels once it has left your bow.

I hope this helps

Yes it somewhat explains and that is why I asked. I will test it out on some T-16's yet there are a few bosses that will teleport out on occasion and sometimes I just spam them from afar a little even though point blank is not adding any bonus yet that is somewhat what I was looking for was at Point blank range would my speed of the projectile in any way effect my leech since I do not know the mechanics of actually at what distance the speed starts reducing from the downside of the projectile if you sorta understand what I meant. Thanks.

My understanding is the arrows all leave your bow at the same time regardless of projectile speed.. so at point blank range its 0 dps/leech loss, its only the speed at which the arrow travels that changes...

If I am wrong I am sure somebody will correct me :)
With slower projectile you will have a larger time gap between fire moment and hitting moment of first wave of arrows. After the first wave of projectiles hit the target everything is the same from your point of view as the time distance between the waves is dictated by how fast you attack.

Namelock is a term from Diablo 2 and popularized through the pvp community, it means your cursor is on top of the thing you're targeting so the name shows above it (ie you can see the health bar, and the name). So the idea is with CWDT + Flamedash, you keep your cursor on the enemy, and whenever he hits you, the flamedash is casted on the enemy, making you go through it.
