Hey I've been running this build for a few days and getting into the 60's now.
My question is why would you not use Hyaon's fury as a main hand with its very high eDPS and incredible damage gains with frenzy charges.
I noticed you spoke about it earlier in the thread but it was in regards to it being an off hand but from what I can tell its one of the highest eDPS weapons out there so why not mainhand it.
Because of the awful attack speed and low crit. I tried it out and it makes the build feel sluggish and slow, I recommend strongly against using it. A 200 EDPS sword with 1.8 attack speed would be way better.
Fair enough, I can totally understand that, I went from a 1.5 to a 1.9 attack speed sword and it does feel a million times better so I cant imagine going back to an even lower amount.
Thanks for the fast reply. Also thanks for the build.
Last little question: out of interest what sort of crit rate do you have in your HO with golem out?
I do this build on CI.
This is very amazing. Incredible damage and survi with basalt/granit/vinktars/atziri + vaal pact.
I can do maps high tier and uber lab without atziri gloves and i have 8k+ ES.
My skill tree:
What kind of damage output do you have as CI? im quite curious.
Also im looking at the skiltree, and down by the sword nodes it seems you don't grab 50% crit multi with swords, those are absolutely massive dps boosts for this build, get em.
Yee i know, i'll take them buy first survi because i play on HC, dps is absolutely sufficient now. I'll take multi and flask nods yet.
Can anyone answer this for me? I have two edps swords:
Spoiler
This one has 256edps
This one has 290edps
Yet, I get the same sheet DPS. What's going on here? Is the attack speed really affecting the DPS that much or is it something else? I drop from 4.35 to 4.25 when using the 290edps sword. Is accuracy calculated during sheet DPS? I guess that would explain it...
EDIT: Also, which accuracy cluster should I prioritize? Eagle Eye or Precision? I'm currently sitting at 51% crit chance and 4.35 aps. I feel like crit chance might be the better option. Just want a second opinion on this.
Yes, accuracy is affecting the tooltip dps.
And yes, attspeed is pretty much the most important stat on the weapon, same as for old good EleBuzzSaw builds. Aspeed > Flat ele rolls > critchance > critmulti > accuracy.
And again, as I have said before, I do feel that taking accuracy clusters is a waste of skillpoints. Currently sitting at 78% chance to hit, yet I don't feel any lack of it really, the Lacerate slashes cover most of the screen anyway.
Anyway, if you decided that you need accuracy from passives, the only cluster that is actually beneficial is Eagle Eye imho, since it gives crit aswell.
Sorry if this has been answered as I don't feel like reading 20 pages of responses: where are the endurance charges coming from for your Immortal Call which is linked to Cast when Damage Taken? I can see that Assassin's Mark can grant a power charge, but I don't see any skills or stats that grant an endurance charge.
Appreciate the earlier response in regards to weapon slots and their impact on tooltip dps. I have another one though, how do I avoid dying this much to reflect? I've gotten to the point where I will quite literally kill myself almost instantly to reflect mobs if I don't have vinktar's up and with the active playstyle you sometimes don't get to react. I would hate to drop down in damage, but at this point I don't see much of a choice. I got close to 5.5k hp, but it just isn't close to enough. And -max maps are just a huge gamble these days...
For me when clearing in maps, it's pretty much like playing piano with your flasks, hence why i have my hp pot on my 5 key, so i can easily press 1-2-3-4, so my vinktar is almost always up.
Other things you could do is drop added lightning damage, and put in faster attacks.
What i did is scale down my AoE so it doesn't extend past my screen, that way i can't offscreen reflect, and because of the fast whirling speed of the build, i didn't notice any slower clear speed.
My solution so far has been to drop wrath for purity of lightning, can't say I've noticed any difference in clear speed which isn't really a big surprise, but losing 15k dps in h/o doesn't feel good. Since I'm using a carcass jack my aoe is also quite large so whenver you hit downwards it's quite risky. I'll keep experimenting with ways to deal with reflect, I know that Sibyl's Lament would be a good option, but my god do I want to avoid that route...
basically go in a line from templar to shadow and grab what you feel is necessary while leveling.
So this means you can start the build as a shadow too? ;)
No, we play templar so we can ignore enemy elemental resistances with the inquisitor ascendancy. playing shadow would just be a massive waste, don't do it :P
pack clearing seems solid, but single target on bosses for me is garbage, dont really know why. peek at my gear and whatnot if you get a chance, character name is "JIVQuizzin" cheers
