2.3 LA build update: 87 pen / 7.65k hybrid / almost 300kdps / 200+ MS

Hi, I decided to update my LA build to 2.3. I've been working on min-maxing my tree - dps and endurance. and i think i found the 'good enough' mix that i've been looking for.

main change:

I have 50% flask effectiveness and im pathfinder. that means i can have 205 movespeed. This is very important while playing versus HoT builds, cwdt + scolds + zephyr builds. they cant catch us, there is not enough of health pool in the game that you can tank scolds + mom + zephyr coc build or shin's build. THe only option to be able to deal with them is having same flask duration and beeing faster than them. i tried a 10k life + profane chemistry pathfinder spec vs those guys, its not enough. and i was far from beeing able to kill them before they get full health due to lack of dps.

we are the initiator now, not the offscreen defender or punisher of initiations.

for this reason, the belt: retch is essential.
this is BiS and vs life builds when vinktar is on, we deal also good amount of chaos damage.

defense:
as a ranger, having very dangerous high dps is very important. Ranger cant have lethal damage and tankiness at the same time. so we have to think about different solutions. I tried leg kaoms setup, where you end up wasting 10-15 points to gather 190+ str as ranger, and end up having non lethal dps. leg kaoms setup is still good, and there are builds which i'd 100% using prefer leg kaoms against. 6l Mine setup is also very important vs good amount of builds. I feel like to set a game around the map, mines are really good and having x2 6l makes me feel better generally.

for that reason, im Hybrid at the moment.

leg kaoms vs hybrid

i have 5k life + 2.7~k ES at the moment. i get with different tree and with the cost of around 20% less dps, 7.7k health as leg kaoms. i cant get flask nodes from tree with that setup cause i spend a lot points to gather enough life and get 190+ str. i can get 145 movespeed with leg kaoms setup while i can get 205 with hybrid setup.

you can get more greedy about tankiness and use 400 ES + life helmet instead of rats nest that im using. (thats probably better idea even)

block vs acro

i prefer block + spell block over acrobatics as im hybrid and pathfinder,

with such setup:

i can get 75/64 block. this setup is really good vs coc cycloners, self cast dischargers... etc.




MOVESPEED!

well im lvl 96 atm, after lvl 97 i'll be able to pick Fangs of the Viper, so add +5 movespeed to the numbers you see in screen:

as you can guess my fire resist is not 48 lol.

Offence changes:

BA mines / blast rain mines as 2. 6l






i shared this a while ago, this is 18.2k ES dethklok vs my blast rain mines. we tested together and i could easily one shot 18.2k ES. that is very precious amount of damage that can point blank + mines + high dps invested bow build can do.

Tree

I believe this is the best tree one can get as hybrid LA build. i've been theorycrafting this tree in my head since 1 week at work while i've been having toilet breaks. (so when you call your build is shit, literally it is)

i dont have much attack speed on tree anymore snce i invested one of my 6l's to elemental mines. i use onslaught flasks when attack speed is needed. for sure, i need new jewels for my Mines with mine laying speed, life, elemental damage modifiers etc.

87 pen:

vinktar 15 + boots 10 + 14 from tree , 38 from gem, 10 from pathfinder: 87

max dps setup without any flask buffs:

+ point blank, no flasks

onslaught flask is on:


270k without onslaught flask(pathfinder gets dps when flasks are on)

Strategies:

vs bear trap you need to use skeletons.
vs tank + 6l tempest builds barrage is better
in mirror matches you should rely on rumi charges, you may use blast rain or barrage, both are good.
coc cycloners: max spell block + block + point blank
vs EA you definitely need leg kaoms, you can put dex->str jewel next to weapon artistry passive node and get 190 str easily.

Also the clean 20/20 gems are triggering me, they seem so imperfect, use some red balls on them :P

Overly minmaxed build, but the retch implicit is at minimum lol :D

Like tommy V would say, you just gained 33% more damage and 0.66 times effectiveness for self-damage. Grats
