[2.4 updates] Voltaxic Volley Fire Barrage Deadeye -- Well Barrage is now #1 Bow Skill

I switched to this build yesterday. Levelled up using Blast Rain mostly and initially wanted to revive the old puncture trap chin sol ice shot build with prolif and actually this worked but was really fed up with BR. It's ok for big packs but i somehow hate the "vertical" play style of BR so wasn't really having fun while playing. It was a bit like dual flame totems... it works but it gets boring.

After seeing this build (and finding an exalted orb) I decided to change my tree, cash in the exalt for chaos orbs (64c on ESC) and started shopping. Luckily I was already playing a crit deadeye ranger so I was able to respec with the points i had and the regret orbs i found.
Bought 3 Volley Fires for about 19c each, a cheap voltaxic and off I went. I already had a 5L daresso's defiance and using Iron Reflexes for survivability. The 5L had 3G1B1R so slotted Barrage-Pierce-Poison-Added Lightning-WED. Bought some eva/es gloves with lightning damage and attack speed for the CoH set up and went doing maps.

I gotta say that I love it! AoE is awesome and it clears much faster than BR due to it's horizontal attack instead of vertical attacks. Elite pack mobs die fast! The thing you need to learn is to blink arrow away in dangerous situations, reposition and fire your barrages again.
Mana is hardly a problem though I feel this build could use more life leech so I think I will aim for the Vitality Void keystone. This leech will probably give a lot more survivability since the damage output is good.

I'm happy I switched to thuis build. At first I was a bit worried about barrage but with the 3 Volley Fires it's like firing 3 machine guns!

Iam also using a version of the build and i gotta say it's so far the best one i've played so far.
I would like to point out a few things that could save a bit of currency. Iam running a Kaom's heart as a chest and a six link voltaxic bow as we all know voltaxic is more less mandatory.I've heard that we need a 2 addtitional proj on rat's nest for the dps to go extra high , well u can endless amunitions from ascendancy and buy yourself a drillneck with +1 arrow curpt. At the moment drillneck with +1 is 5ex vs rat's nest ~12ex lol. If u do decide to go this way i would like to mention that u need the pierce nods from the passive tree and snakebite gloves for the free poison ( also use inc crit strikes on voltaxic).

Another skill i like to use is Decoy totem, gives you like +100%survivability. You can just make the boss waste his smash on it instead of you. Also good for chests and essences.

The tooltip dps seems low, but the tooltip doesn't count in the Fire Volley Jewels (only the +x% Projectile dmg on them).

I respec my ranger from LA voltaxic to barrage.

As others stated the survivability is low. (shame on GGG), so i switched to Vaal Pact since life regeneration is not so great or spend 2 more point to go vitality void. With atizi flask and Blood Rage si much better imho. Also think going to iron reflex.....

Man, I'm loving this build.
Especially after getting my hands on that 6l cospris and rat's nest with enchantment. Yes, the build is squishy, is expensive but it's one of the most fun and satisfying that i tried. I came from a cyclone character that I ripped because I fell asleep (true story), too a character that made me stay awake and play till 4am, with a working morning expecting me. No regrets.

I have a question for you: what kind of stats do you look for in your extra jewels?
Ok, another one: Would you craft chaos damage to attacks or physical damage in an amulet that already has lightning damage to attacks? What pushs your damage further?

Ignore the rant, if you have some extra coin give this bad boy a try.

well guys this is a fun build i think
pretty well i did almost all reflect elemental map
die some die to lag

but still it was awesome can clear boss quite fast
for uber i not sure yet i at lv 80
uber like 2 shot kill me maybe i with party that why.

but above all good and fun and easy play

build is fun feels like a machine gun.
If i take iron reflex +arctic armor+lightning coil will it be better? not planning on getting dodge

In my opinion getting a good amount of crit multiplier on an amulet gives a big boost to dps.
