GhazzyTV - Essence Drain & Contagion (or Bane/Soulrend) Trickster [SC/HC/Uber Elder/Shaper]

Any tips for dealing with the crazy cost of Essence Drain early on? With a 5 link equipped, 1 Contagion and 2 Essence Drains is enough to wipe my mana, even with a piece of -mana jewellery!

What level are you?
As it shouldn't be much of a problem later on.

If you are using a 5L before you're lvl 50-60ish then mana is always a problem with that many links and will have to be countered with a mana flask till you can sustain yourself later on :)

I am enjoying this build so far. Anything gear wise I need to change, or look out for? I already have Atziri's Step just need to level.

Glad you're enjoying it!
Your current setup allows you to get increased duration linked to the Wither as well which would help singel target :)
To further up your single target damage you should bring a Vaal Lightning Trap for the bosses, it will double your dmg output!

You can also add Molten Shell in your 4L red colored gloves.


When it comes to gearing:
Life is really low on the helmet, amulet & belt. Keep in mind that Strength rolls also applies to life. (in poe.trade you can search for max life on items then click the total ammount of life listed on any item that is in gray color, this will list all items in order of highest HP on the top) :)

Other than that everything looks solid, you even got some spell damage on the dagger!

Hey Ghazzy, would you say dual wielding 2 60% increased spell damage daggers or using a delirium dagger (with no spell damage rolls) + a rathpith would be better for overall damage?

Well for damage I'm not sure if 2x delirium crafted daggers would give you twice the hits. Worth trying tbh but if it doesn't work then the Rathpith is the best choice. If it does work I'm not sure if you wanna lose that defensive stat unless you're softcore.

In most realistic circumstances (at least 5 links, some damage from the passive tree), the delirium dagger will vastly outperform the spell daggers.

Heya just putting it out there, if you do use a lioneye's vision, it will be HELL to get the right colours. I just 6linked one on accident, and realized after that i'd never be able to use it cause of how hard it would be to get the colours

It can be a true bitch to deal with indeed. Which is why I've always said that a +1 Tabula is top notch, though you will feel a bit squishy in the absolute end-game.

Ultimately this is a great league starter build :)

Hi, i'm currently trying this build, and it's very satisfying to see everything just drop dead in chain reaction.

currently i have a level 69 trickster, with around 2500hp and 800 shield. is that normal? or do i have to build HP somemore? because i've been nuked once or twice while trying merciless labyrinth.
