[2.5] Baelrog's Abyssal Cry Berserker - Send the whole screen to the Abyss with one attack.
I would still go with Perfect Form, its really strong. Just use a really high evasion shield, you should be able to another 10K evasion
If you use Breath plus shield you can't use blade flurry, so I would recommend Ground Slam actually. You really want some skill that can be supported by Concentrated Effect (because of double dipping). What do you find confusing, maybe I can shed some light.
Groundslam huh? What about EQ or Sunder maybe? Also curious on what flasks you are using, let me know when you can :)

Earthquake used to be my main attack skill before Breach, but the Less Duration Support (kind of must have for EQ) now halves your poison duration with EQ, thats a huge damage loss. Sunder has 15% Less attack speed modifier. So, I would use ground slam or cyclone.
My flasks are in the guide, the two remaining are just life flasks (will post them).
I would probably use dual wield with dreamfeather. Now, the only problem is The Green Nightmare. There's none on sale on breach hc. If one pops up, i don't even wanna look at the price :(
Anyway to get around that missing jewel? Last edited by Bloodhatred on Jan 15, 2017, 10:10:25 PM

Its a very good jewel, but I wouldn't call it essential. You can have Vaal Grace active most of the time and that should cap your (Spell) Dodge. Don't forget to look for the Green Dream and a Blessing of Chayula, but yes, expect it to be expensive. I got mine for slightly less than 300 chaos (for both).

Quick update, I'm sitting on level 52 right now, running cruel dried lake runs to get to 60 before moving forward. The damage is there, really enjoying the build. I got a few issues that i hope will get resolve in the near future. First, my mana consumption which is terrible if i don't use thief's torment ring. I tried elreon's ring but it was worst.
Which leads to my leveling problem. Thief's torment is a huge bonus to stay alive as well at the moment. The thing i dislike is the feeling i am pigeonholed using that goddamn ring lol. So now i'm thinking about how i will stay alive once i am in merciless and start putting the proper gear, which leads me to think i have to change the order of passives from the berserker. Would it be better to get War Bringer and Pain Reaver first instead of going Aspect of Carnage and Crave the Slaughter? Normal and Cruel lab would give me more survivability and i'd take the added damage and utility later on. Thx for any help you can bring as i really enjoy the build, just trying to stay alive until i can gear myself with proper items, which is less than 14 levels! |

Hi Baelrog, great build. I am leveling it now. I just have one question regarding the poison mechanics. I see you take the duration nodes and you mention how more duration = more damage. From my understanding it works as say you do 100 damage per second and an additional second would give an additional 100 per stack... but wouldn't it not matter 95% of the time anyway as most of the monsters die in one explosion on shortly after?

Question: When do you feel it best to incorporate Abyssal Cry into the build while leveling? Only after you get war bringer?
" I would suggest swapping out enfeeble for warlord's mark until you get war bringer. It worked great for me, as I was having the same issue. https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/988f3369-4b68-4eb9-bc0e-edfce4c3c950 Last edited by Moridin79 on Jan 17, 2017, 11:50:38 AM

" Great suggestion :) I'm using warlord's mark and Grace now. First it left me with so few mana, i could not cry and bf properly. So i added an Elreon's ring, seems to do jsut great now :) thx! |

" Good to hear your liking it so far and thanks for the progression update, its interesting for me to hear how someone in hardcore experiences this build. To answer your question: The order is actually not set in stone. In Hardcore I would indeed pick up Pain Reaver and War Bringer first, then work towards Aspact of Carnage. Pain Reaver combined with an Elreon ring should fix the mana issues for sure (I don't have any, and can easily run no regen maps). " For normal clearing its irrelevant yes, but it will actually help a lot on tough bosses. The poison caused by BF will last longer, which means that your DPS will ramp up more if the fight lasts longer than 2 seconds (base poison duration). Moreover, these nodes also improve you Vaal Grace and Wither duration. " You can start using AC at around level 50, when you have all the Chaos damage nodes in the tree (requires about 67 points). War Bringer enables it to be you main clear skill, because without it the cooldown will slow you down too much. War Bringer is a solid choice for cruel or merc lab.
