Master surgeon is only problematic with BV, which generates magnitudes more charges than any other skill, so the most logic nerf to it would be to actually nerf BV to give up to 1 charge per cast, and not per hit (meaning up to 5+ charges per cast atm). The node itself is perfectly balanced with other skills, and has already fairly low value.

" That's not what makes it strong in PvP. Unique flasks paired with Pathfinders amazing flask nodes is what makes it better then any other Ascendancy for PvP. Again do you think for example Shin would be as tanky, heal for ridiculous amounts of life nearly instantly, have max dodge(s), max block and 100+++ movement speed if not for this? The guy can use a 4 linked skill (possibly 5linked off corruptions), Scolds and just face tank into shit with Flame dash while flailing wildly at anything by just holding Frenzy down and auto casting triggers. It's like the retarded kid slapping himself in his own chest while lunging at you wildly.....but it works...and no I'm not hating on Shin, It's just the fact of the matter. GGG, the ADA of gaming....huuuur i gotz mai skilz.

Mulla, I was just explaining the mechanics of that one node paired with BV and why it is OP in PVE, which I didnt mention separately as it was on topic with the previous comments. I did not mean to apply my statement for PvP at all. Believe me, you don't have to explain pathfinder, or Shin's build's mechanics to me, I did research those myself and made an explanation post about it.
Icedeal, you are wrong. BV is acting mechanically completely different from any other skill in the game paired with that mod. I did test it myself in a controlled environment: I made 2 tests, one with the Harvest axe, and one with a non-legacy surgeon modded flask (without Harvest), which both have the same mod as pathfinder on Master surgeon node, but with different chance, Harvest with 100% and surgeon flask with 20%. The generation chance difference is not relevant for the test, because I tested the charge generation of different skills relatively to each other and not the source of the mods. I used level 1 Blade Vortex and Firestorm for the tests in a high level area, and made sure I did not kill any monster, so the only source of flask charges came from the surgeon mod. My character does not have any increased flask charges gained mod. and it is not a pathfinder. Harvest + Firestorm, only one cast which dealt a critical strike, casted on multiple monsters: 1 charge total. Harvest + BV, only one cast which dealt a critical strike, casted on multiple (6-8) monsters: 20-40 charges total (about 1 charge for each monster for each hit). Surgeon flask + Firestorm, took about 4-5 casts which dealt a critical strike, casted on multiple monsters to get only 1 charge (the 20% chance procced at the last) Surgeon flask + BV, only one cast which dealt a critical strike, casted on multiple (6-8) monsters: 6-7 charges total (about 1 charge for each monster for each hit when the surgeon mod procced). This behaviour seems not intended for me, and my guess is that this will be fixed, otherwise it will remain abusable for charge generation even with nerfs to the sources of the surgeon mod. You're right
Harvest, Pathfinder, Whither jar etc..etc.. all the things you mentioned above and then some are really really problematic for PvP. I'd like to add Shin recently showed me his other character, it's not a Pathfinder and this thing is mechanically and technically built to be a real pain in my fucking ass and I assure you it will be a problem for everyone else too. The unique items in this game especially the flasks (even some skill gems) now have great synergy with Ascendancy, creating lots of balance conflict we've yet to even uncover fully. Some classes just benefit from these things waaaaay better in PvP while others waaay better in PvM.
