Thoughts: If you're low on life, you can replace jewel sockets with life nodes from the scion wheel.

83 pts Party begins: Crit + mana leech

Thoughts: Specced mana leech in essence sap cluster, but optional if doing fine on mana.

From here on out: You need 21-ish levels to get all the marauder-side crit nodes to utilize the Lioneye's Fall jewel. Personally I think speccing mainly strength nodes for 9 levels to get to your destination is boring and doesn't contribute anything to the build except maybe if you want to wear kaom's early. Some options are you can spec into more jewel nodes, you can spec more life in scion life wheel, sniper cluster. It all depends on your gear and what you lack. Then you can regret those 20 whatever points and into Lioneye Fall and crit nodes.

I forgot to mention spec into +30 intelligence nodes of you're lacking. Vaal pact if you're doing the deeps. You can level with light+ice heralds or use the charisma aura nodes to go ice herald + wrath until you get lvl 3+ enlighten. Since we're also going scion beserker sub class, I skipped out on the life leech nodes on skill tree so you might have to use life leech gem until you spec into ascendancy, or if you want a different subclass you would to spec into the duelist life leech nodes. If you're going Assassin scion, no need for 95% crit with 0 power charges, just get enough crit from nodes and gear that will get you to 95 crit WITH the 3 power charges. If you're not going to utilize power charges, get greedy with crit (nodes, gg gear).

Concerning gear, you're going to have to sacrifice mf gear for survivability and even maybe damage until you can utilize Lioneye's Fall or you're going to have a bad time. It's a very tight build where you need the right jewels to fill the gaps on your hugely missing resists and low increased max life on the skill tree. You won't be doing high tier maps if you dont have these things. But if you're happy with budget jewel and gear, farm those low level trash maps. That's what windripper really excels at anyway.

illmtk summed it up pretty well. but his skill tree isnt working. I think i'd just level with freeze pulse /flame totem / firestorm /whatever spell until 32. Then slap on a Death's Harp and you will faceroll to late Cruel. Add a drillneck at 36 if u can.

Something like this to start off. Would exit with spell damage node for the first 30 levels then respecc them into fangs of the viper + will of blades when u swap to death's harp. pick up the pierce nodes if u got a drillneck.

Starting to plan out this build a little bit with a somewhat limited budget in Standard. IIQ Gear is pretty tough to find so I wound up skipping IIQ on Rings and just going with a little more damage (which is also okay since clearing faster is just fine).

Unfortunately the 6S Legacy Ripper I bought didn't like the ~1,600 Fusings that I fed it, so what I'm going to do is find a cheap 6L new Ripper and just play with that until I accumulate enough currency to force link.

Starting off with 7 Jewels since the Scion I'm speccing is only 93. Will add more Jewels as time goes on, of course.

Boots: Empower + Enlighten + Wrath + Herald of Ice
Gloves: CWDT + IC + Summon Ice Golem + Minion Life
Helm: Blink Arrow + Vaal Haste + Blood Rage + Increased Duration

Easy peasy.

I'm still grinding slowly to 100 on my Ranger (97 and 67% atm), so I plan to take MF breaks in between here and there. We'll see how it goes :)
