The reason why im doing that is not because of PVP issue in poe cuz i still like to go in sarn arena n chat with myga n mongol n other ppl n yes sometime we fight each others. But if u want to blame me/build i don't mind it . Im just reinstalling old game cuz i like to revisit them they are fun n bring good memories.

I hope GGG will (fix) pvp i know its alot to ask for 2017 but we can all dream.

I just find it funny how most people around here basically play the victim.

Like immigrants that infest a country, fuck it up then go..."why's this place suck?". It's 100% the player base and the builds people choose to whore around here that makes PvP suck nads.

i think there is no need to bash people for what they have done in limits of the game.
if they don't admit how broken what they have, you can throw some insults, it makes sense there.

Building for poe pvp is a race to the bottom. I've not adapted a single build of mine for pvp since warbands and I still dabble in pvp occassionally with whatever I'm playing. But that often sucks really really hard. So if you want to pvp regularly on a build, you've got to join the race to the bottom and abuse as much as you can. You're damned if you don't ... and damned if you do.

That's the character building part of it, then there's ofcource the asshats running around offscreen killing people with invisible names, day long spawn killing griefers and incessantly obnoxious trolls. Maybe you were talking about those. I can't say that I regret my decision to not enter standard sarn arena anymore.

Honestly, the way I see it is a lot of people missed the opportunity to be able to join and build themselves into PVP during the 1.3 series of updates, back when there was some semblance of balance, and Ascendancy classes didn't exist and throw such a curve ball mechanically. GGG lacks the work ethic to balance PVP, I can see that plain and simple. They refuse to make the ENTIRETY of the game good, just most of it. But take a look at the PVE meta- "My build is only good if it can clear a rare T16 in 1:30 minutes", and you'll see that PVP is also a reflection of the state of the game. They don't understand that PVP is a better way of seeing what's good and bad about their game, the things that can be used and abused.

I can see your point, I honestly can, but to me it seems similar to saying "I can't play this shooter game fairly with all the hackers around, so I have to use hacks if I want to be on even ground." You can argue the mechanical differences between what's happening in PoE PVP and an FPS game, but my comparison lies in this: unfair versus unfair, isn't fair. Same principle as "two wrongs don't make a right", you know?

Ascendancy helped balance more then hurt it after they righted many of the wrongs that came with it. Pathfinder still has several advantages in PvP over other classes but beyond that it was a good thing.


Until that point things were more clear cut. Now there is more diversity and tree placement isn't as dominant in PvP as it was. The evasion crit status immune side of the tree > every other option for a very long time. Just like casters dominated hard pre BCR gem, pre shotgun nerfs because of compounded problems. Right now where the game is, is fine. Zerphi/Scolds is the cancer here and to an equal degree aoe overlap and to a lesser degree cwdt/cws/glove enchant damage. What we have now shouldn't be, we shouldn't have dyness wannabe trolls 1-2 shotting people with piled on cast on bullshit gem set ups while standing idle not attacking. We shouldn't have massive aoe overlap monopoly in 1v1-2v2-3v3 arenas via ea and alike skills. We also shouldn't have the same builds able to heal for 1000s of life per second as they attack/trigger auto skills. Fix this and PvP is playable, it's playable versus everyone now that isn't a queer abusing this shit.

I do think you're missing something that'd be vital, which is actual damage reduction for every skill. A lot of the new or underused skills that exist out there don't have damage reductions, since all anyone really ever did for the longest time was Cyclone (when a skill hits a shitload of times really fast and you move while doing it, that's the definition of skill, right, Mulla? Right, literally anyone using Blade Vortex?), but skills from Barrage, to Blast Rain lack any TValue. In fairness to others, I'll even say that Icestorm lacks a TValue, but it's weird to build into for PVP, so don't touch it, GGG.

But yea, damage reduction, AoE overlap removal (they remove actual shotgun and not this?), Zerphi's refactoring, all would make PVP a bit better.
Oh, and make a PVP calculation for regen. Fuck regen.

That was just a given, I totally forgot to mention it because its been beaten to death repeatedly. I even made a thread about removing all reductions or implementing them to everything, because right now its half ass. By the way Cyclone was garbage then and is garbage now, learn to play the game to counter it.
