+3 on staves is like 250-400% increased damage, i did the math much much before i can't remember the details. if needed i can do the math again for you.

lvl 20, fireball:

739 to 1109;(1848 total, 922 average)

lvl 28 fireball:

1662 to 2493(4155 total, 2057 average)

(2057 / 922) x 100: %223 more damage.

so

empower lvl 4 + +3 staff gives, 223% more damage.

lets make math which covers all the gaps,

lets say you have %350 increased damage all around your gear & tree;

non +3 staff, 100 + 350: 450;

+3 staff 223 + 708: 931

so in short we can say, the difference is + 480% increased damage in this example.
+3 gems means, %480 increased damage for fireball(350% increased base)

that 107 +flat is just a fart in the wind compared to these numbers.

This really depends on how much increased damage modifiers your build has elsewhere, and very importantly what skills you use

yeah i know but people are interested in having easily digestable quick information and average values. : )

i did the math, anyone can follow and do the same for their skills.

did you use JS in that website? oh nvm, i just checked its an excel file.

i'll make a website about all about these calculations after semester with a really kick ass GUI.

Math is not my strongest feature, that said I did some case study testing, turns out my spell + flat was better, especially combined with scolds and 3 4l cwdts.

Very depending on thee skills, and gem damage skill effectiveness etc etc, but trying to to fully math thee ideal zone/ chart of optimisation is difficult.

The 2057 / 922 = 223 means that 2057 is 223% of the 922, but the more multiplier is 223 - 100 = 123% more damage using poe terms.

yeah, i did a mistake there. you seem like you are in a competition of who is going to piss further though? 123 more is 223. 223% more is 323. but yeah, there is a mistake there. it doesn't affect the numbers anyway.
