Level 26 discipline is sexy !

I suggest you use a 1ex wand instead with flat ele damage and block chance reduction :<

Have to agree, much more utility
GGG, the ADA of gaming....huuuur i gotz mai skilz.

The only time i need BCR wands is vs aegis tank builds because of firestorm multihits, i equip 2 for that purpose and it does the job, other than that i dont need anymore BCR vs most builds i fight, maybe if i was using something slower but not with firestorm it hits no matter what.

Flat ele damage is not better at all, my lvl 22 anger gives me less x-y fire damage than 107% sd on my wand... i tested it, flat on the wand would give me even lower than anger does. Why would i do that, sd also scales everything else that deals damage on my build not only fire.

BCR doesnt need to be high anymore most builds have low block and it wont make any difference, on a wand its a matter of 3-5%...

The only outcome would be me losing a lot of DPS and speed for ~5% more chance to penetrate block, fuck that.

Another thing is that you can use this wand with any skill not just one element, been using this for ever and it serves me well with every spell i try.

Sooooo... am I wrong to use dualies for block pen?
Whenever I use them, it is for block pen, both rolled 15%, and combined with Glacial Cascade which is supported by the BCR gem itself. Seems to work well enough, but I'm wondering if I should just ditch BCR, roll some sort of damage thing and just use vortex on Aegis/block builds.

Really depends on what build you are fighting and what skill you are using.

For exemple if your skill is slow and requires you to have as much chance to hit as possible to do damage then BCR is good for that purpose.

But if your skill is fast and has the potential to do multiple hits at once it's really not a necessary.. BCR gem does the job by itself.

The only problematic block builds are aegis tanks... or maybe me with my tempest shield reflect yet my block chance is only at 40% base so why bother. Block is not a savior anymore in this meta, you need to hit for the hardest the moment that you hit rather than trying to increase your chance to hit by as little as 5%.

I use my wand for its roundness, high spell damage that works for everyskill, high discipline level for lots of ES, 22% castspeed is huge.. half a FC gem. And lets not forget the dual crit.

A dagger is also pretty nice with the crit implicit, but in my case my cchance is already pretty high so i kinda like the boost in speed instead.

Personal preferences paired with what you play and who you play basically... the only real time i use dual bcr wands is vs immortal aegis builds.

Most good builds these days are pathfinder and have max block 24/7 with rumis. BCR roll on a weapon is the best thing you can get if you need to go through block with your skills. Even bowers have nearly max block with rearguard (aka the best pvp quiver in the game).

Even inquisitor casters use rumis for around 50-60% block.

rathpith + flask nodes + rumi is easy peasy 75/70~

Sorry guys, but I shall share a thought to believe common knowledge that WB speed is not based off weapon base speed.

From the wiki: "Whirling Blades has a special base use time of 2.6 seconds that overrides the base attack time of the equipped weapon. Both local and global attack speed modifiers, including the attack speed bonus for dual wielding, decrease this use time accordingly."

PoE is a learning game after all.

it's true base APS of daggers doesnt matter. only local IAS% modifier decides wb speed.

about my dagger

i was just messing with alts in my stash. i'd prefer kris base over that tbh.
