What can I do against mana problems?
I have 161 unreserved mana (1012 mana, 851 reserved) and a manareg of 48.7. But my Lvl23 ED costs 98 mana. I just regen too slow and it's a pain in the ass to sometimes be in the situation where I dive into a pack of enemies and can't cast ED to kill everything instantly because I have no mana and just have to stand there waiting for a second. It also sucks for single targets since I can't build up poison stacks. I have 55% manareg on my shield and that's it. I should buy atleast a new ring with manareg on it but my current one is pretty good and every upgrade would be several ex if I take a look at poetrade. Are there some mana/manareg passive tree nodes I could take to solve this? Maybe Primal Spirit? Last edited by Purexec on Jan 19, 2016, 5:11:44 PM

I have lvl 21 ED + lvl 4 empower [total lvl 24 ED] and it costs 90 mana, i have 161 unreserved mana and experience no problems (a bit annyoing in 60% slower regen maps but thats it). " Ah, yeah. It's 87, not 98. I tested out SlowerProj and didn't know the multiplier is higher. I still have problems when I use the standard gem setup, though. I don't know. Maybe it's just the playstyle that makes the difference? I'm trying to clear as fast as I can and try to be already in the next room when the last one's just about to be cleared, so maybe I don't reg enough mana in the meantime. The whole mana issue mostly appears in cell-like maps too where the packs are close together. Or my Whirling Blades takes too much mana and that's the issue, but you're using a leveled one too right? Nope, I do not use mana flasks [ignore the flask in my videos, its quite old].
As said, its not a problem I encounter, however you can try get more regen in talisman / ring. In-Game Nick: MagicalCrime. || Main Character: Level 100 Witch (Ice Nova).

If we're using rare items, are we supposed to aim for armour, evasion, or both? I noticed your 6l chest was armour/evasion so I was just unsure. Thanks!

" Due to the nature of the gem setups in this build (a lot of green and a lot of blue) we'll mostly be getting Evasion gear with 1-2 armor pieces and maybe an armor/es piece for the 3 blue 1 red link for contagion. Alpha's howl is actually fairly easy to get 3blue 1 green in if you use 2blue with the artisan's bench. It won't be so easy to get Atziri's Step to 4 Off Color's like MagicalCrime has in his original post, but that's an optional Unique that's hard to make fit the build's required links. |

This just dropped for me:
I've been using it for a few maps and I'm not really noticing a huge improvement. In fact my tool tip DPS is lower. But I'm guessing the difference is just in the poison being spread along with essence drain? Is there a calculation of how much damage that actually is or anything? |

" The poison isnt spread with ED, its just once an enemy dies it posions its surrounding instead of just dying from poison individualy. Also, it grants heal which is awesome for survivability, dont rely on tooltip here since it doesnt calculate ur poison. Also, poison stacks so if u fight hard packs the poison gets stronger when 2-3 monsters dies. I love this way of playstyle with the poison and bino, you can always stick to rare dagger. Its really up to u.
