Isn't Hypothermia useless anyway, since you're using avatar of fire? You have it put in as a flex spot. So best choice would be cold damage? Or use RRRBBB with conc effect/inc aoe

" No, because Hypothermia does MORE damage against CHILLED monsters. Doesn't matter that you're doing 100% fire damage, the chilled ground created by Icestorm auto-chills the opponents. Hypothernia is one of the best gems for Whispering Ice, no matter how you build it. Prylos // RoA Marauder 89+

Leveled up to 45 with Whispering Ice before I saw this build. So much better than the one I was doing. Pretty pissed I gotta reroll to get the most of my character -_-

Whispering Ice awesome.
Its one of the best builds in the game just because, you can start with low gear and progress slowly into something high end late game viable build. with all +45+ int items, fast recharge / low delay crafts on rings, you can do every content of path of exile offers. "You have great power. You're right to be proud. It's unfortunate you have to die now, but I will honor you with 45% of my strength."

Hit 1900+ today and am only at level 90. You can safely hit 2000+ with Scion with very little cost to the pocketbook or survivability. I have 8.3k ES and have not taken any ES nodes past CI or around Foresight, let alone anywhere else. Int is pretty much driving everything.
The image shows boss setup DPS without the Avatar of Fire node (as I've elected to stay cold).  Deliver pain exquisite
