Totems are the weakest PvP build imo. On the surface you'd expect them to be pretty good but it just isn't the case. Maybe we just need someone to really make them competitive.

My CoC discharger is pretty good at pve, but it seems that it can' deal enough damage in pvp. And my totem dies quickly in the arena, is that why you said it is the weakest pvp build?

The main problems with totems are that they grant charges and die very fast.

As for coc builds, it is very hard to make those chars durable AND deal high damage. Also it is a lot easier to land crits on a pve monster compared to landing them on a player with a lot of defenses.
