Dual Strike
" Are you sure ? If you looked at the char screen to deduce this, I'm pretty sure it's false. From the look of it, they have the same attack speed as normal hits. Build of the week #2 : http://tinyurl.com/ce75gf4

" Not sure if this thread ever made a difference nor if this change ever made it in. "This should actually make the DPS calculation a bit more precise. Last edited by FaceLicker on Mar 1, 2012, 8:15:20 PM

So it doesn't use only the main hand speed, it alternates speed just like normal hits, and I think includes dual wielding attack speed bonus, all of this doesn't really make sense.

"It used to alternate. It now correctly uses an average of the two base attack durations. And yes, it's affected by the dual wield attack speed increase. It's an attack, and you're dual wielding. | |
But the dual wielding speed bonus is explained by the fact that you alternate hands. It doesn't make sense to attack faster when you use both hands at the same time.

Hmm.. well it does make sense in a way. If you're using a two handed weapon, you have higher damage as your bonus - it's not exactly a bonus as it just naturally comes from using a 2hander. One hand + shield gets added defense as the bonus or whatever the offhand offers. Dual wielding gets as a 10% attack speed bonus. Each style has its own benefits and downsides and each one is constant.
So even though dual wielders are naturally faster, you're right, Zril, that swinging both weapons at the same time shouldn't be just as fast naturally. So, perhaps add a -10% Attack speed mod to Dual strike if it seems more realistic? |

" It's exactly what I suggested before ;) And removing the damage malus at the same time, because dual strike is already weak since it's a single target skill. Build of the week #2 : http://tinyurl.com/ce75gf4

From my limited testing I must say that the ability felt just fine. However the tooltip dps was not correct and I am aware that is a bug.
I am though wondering if anyone could be kind to tell me what the dex requirement of this skill are at lvl 15+ Sincerely! /Thrilled IGN: Azatooth or Xploding

This attack feels a little like a strong autoattack
Maybe if it had a higher crit damage effect, it would be more specialised? |
