Are there any tools that JUST allow you to determine how much currency you have converted if you converted everything to Chaos at user-set rates the way Procurement does?

If I need to do this, I just make a spreadsheet and adjust the currency exchange rates on it, have all currency types converted to exalt-equivalent, sum it, then I just input my currency.

1) how can you easily determine ilvls

2) It looks like you vendored quite a bit presumably for alchs/alts. How do you determine what you vendor and what you keep for the ID'd chaos recipe? Do you just only keep 1 or 2 sets for ID'd recipe and vendor the rest till you sell a whole set off?

3) Do you pick up chrome pieces assuming they're not 2h weapons?

4) I know this might sound silly, but how do you keep up with TP/wis scrolls? Do you actively always pick them up? I find myself run out all the time if i dont actively go out of my way to get them

1) Use the highlight key, or set your filter to highlight thresholds of item levels.

2) Yep. MF is largely about alt/alc farming, in addition to getting more good drops. That's one of the reasons I adjusted my filter: it highlights good bases that I'll use for the id recipe, everything else is either unid recipe food, or vendor food.

What I'll do to save a bit of time is say I have a full set completed, but just need an amulet. Then an amulet drops. What I'll do is vendor most stuff, but keep recipe parts. So let's say I pick up a 2h, body, gloves and boots, but couldn't snag gloves. I'll vendor everything else in my inventory but keep the aforementioned stuff, then just pull gloves from my pre-prepared recipe. Now all I have to do while I'm farming is keep an eye out for gloves. Which is why I mention in my video something to the effect of memory being fairly important. Keeping a mental track of the recipe parts you need to re-stock, and prioritize those.

3) Yes.

4) Vendor stones, scraps, transmutes, and grab a portal gem. A lot of the time the scrap/stone/trans (SST) vendoring will keep my scrolls restocked.

There's two ways to replenish if you find yourself running low:

a) Start picking scrolls again
b) Run some maps where all you do is pick up good stuff, and ignore the rest. That way you're id'ing less, and allow the SST vendoring to restock.

If option A, the portal gem allows you to get additional free wisdoms, basically, by vendoring portals > wisdoms.

This is my normal mapping filter. It highlights good bases, but doesn't restrict things like flasks or gavels, garbage bases from showing up. It's what I use for MFing.

Keep in mind I don't use this until Merc Dried Lake, because I have a separate filter I use for levelling that will show lower level white and magic drops as I'm progressing. This is strictly a mapping / 67+ filter.

Thanks to your post/guide i was able to snag a 6l 1.25 AS bow last night for only 30c. Got +2 on it with 2 suffixes one of them being 14% AS!

Thanks again!

1) iLevels can be seen by holding down the "Highlight items and objects key" (I think that the default is "alt") and then mousing over the item of interest. You should rarely need to do this though - I usually end up using this just to vendor the correct iLevel items for the chaos recipe when for some reason I don't get the correct trade. But even this is pretty rare and happens only when I mistakenly put too low a level item into my chaos recipe tab.

2) Everyone has their own way of doing this. The bottle neck for turn ins will be rings or amulets. So you only need to save a single set of other stuff for the turn in while saving nearly all rings amulets and possibly belts.

3) I personally pick up all chromes. But timeliness is key. In Breach, you just may have way too much loot. If this is the case I'd run Neversink's magic find loot filter which will exclude a bunch of drops so that you can focus on good bases. With that in place I'd pick up mostly everything that shows up.

4) Buy a portal gem. Vendor portal scrolls for wisdoms. Pick up portal/wisdom scrolls from breach mobs. Doing this should cover all your wisdom scroll needs. Occasionally you might need to vendor scraps/transmutes for scrolls but in Breach league this should be rare.

Edit - wow, that's strange. I checked for a response before typing all this and got Ninja'ed by Serleth!

Another response to broseidon

1) Are you guys sure about that?... For me, Z key shows the hidden stuff hidden with filters, F key allows me to pick stuff up... and its still the Alt key that shows ilvls...

2) I'm a hoarder... this used to mean 3 tabs of extra ID'd recipe items just waiting for the jewelry... but now they all fit in a single Quad tab... this way I just start alching necklaces for the recipe when rings get way ahead in drops

3) I tend to pick up chromes regardless of size

4) Giving up on the chisel recipe at Serleth's advice made all the difference here (and cleared up some stash space)... I went from about a 400 scroll surplus and dwindling while vendoring portals and transmutes to 1200 and growing vendoring all 4 items... transmutes and stones make up the most since they vendor for 4 scrolls each, and scraps are nice at 2 scrolls each... Breaches are actually the only time I go out of my way to pick up all the scrolls... there are usually 20-40 in a tight pile

Based on my experiences in 2.2, my plan this time is to stockpile 40-50 regals maybe using the regal recipe and drops, and then just throw an ilvl 60-74 item in there to force the chaos recipe out of otherwise regal recipe IDs, and then do the unID recipe with purely ilvl 60-74 items... Neversink gives 75+ drops an orange border... the annoying part is being in lvl 73-74 maps where magics/rares/bosses drop 75+ and having to sort loot with alt if you care... my new plan should solve that for the most part

It depends on your key bindings - F is pickup and Alt is show iLevels by default I think but I've rebound my keys so I may be wrong. I'm not sure what you think might be inaccurate wrt my post or Serleth's. All 3 of of seem to be saying the same thing.

That's why I generally said "highlight" key, and did not specify an actual key. For me, I've swapped alt and F.

Hehe, part of me wants to do this and recipe spam, but I just like having a 4x map dump tab too much.

This is more or less exactly what I do. I just spam the recipe no matter what. If I get a regal, and I want it, then I take it. If I don't want a regal, I either hunt my existing stashed drops for a 60-74, or if I've happened to store some 72-74 whites then I'll alc that, but most commonly if there isn't a 72-74 in my id tab, I just pull a belt from my unid and use that, since I'm almost always at a surplus of belts.

Eventually, I find myself wanting regals so typically I just take it except early league when I need chaos far more.

I went a little overboard with Quad tabs... I bought the bundle and 3 more Quads with my leftover points from the Perandus league's Aspirant supporter pack and this league's Breachlord supporter pack...

Using 1 for ID'd recipe, 1 for unID'd, and not using the other 2 yet... I plan to use one as a dump tab for when I'm in a group doing master rotations/etc where I just want to dump and return to the action quick-like...

I've been condensing my tab usage, and haven't settled on the best layout of tabs yet, but I'm getting there... I still want a small tab for gear waiting to swap in and maps I've pre-modded and I don't want to use a Quad tab for that because the squares in it are so small that I'm off by 1 tile horizontally or vertically alot when placement matters

Getting to the endgame gearing part or the build, I like how much cheaper some of the stuff is with the meta changes away from chaos dmg and clear-speed vs MF

I think a 6L Maraketh is going to cost me 50% what it did in 2.2... some top-end Ventor's are up for 1-2EX, I've been getting some great 3mod jewels for 5-20c (2x dmg + all resist/life or 3x dmg)
Is this still worth doing when ex is 70c?
If anything it's more potent when exalt ratios are higher. Easier to do chaos recipes than without mf.
Jul 27, 2011 - Sept 30, 2018.
Hey, thanks for the guide! Is it really worth it using IQ and IR gear at all? I mean 0.5 ex per hour is fine, but i wonder how much you can do without stats that handicap you clear speed and survive ability.

This post from a few pages back provides some insight to this question from the OP. Your results may very, but I think it is a good summary.
