Hopefully going to have my calculator upgraded to an actual computer by Christmas.

Lol.

I know the feeling. I was lucky that when I bought mine some 5 years ago i bought the right parts. CPU wise computers have not advanced almost anything at all in the last few years so my current CPU is still very good. I could get a better one but only marginally so (I do use amd cause it's cheap and price vs performance you can't beat it). My graphic card did changed about a year ago or so but really only because my old one died cause it was still going strong and it was relatively cheap. The only thing my computer could really use in terms of hardware upgrades would be an SSD and anotehr 8gb of ram ehich I do intend to get at some point or another.

If you are able to build your own PC I'm pretty sure you can get your PC done cheaper and lasting a very long while, considering there are no grand leaps in tecnology in the coming years.

Does it matter what base bow you use for this build? (never played bow user before)
Technically, no, but you'll want/prefer a relatively high aps base to make sure you can fire arrows with reasonable speed to help avoid things like getting stunned, or compensating for misfires.

The best two bases to consider are the Short/Grove/Thicket bow progression (any base is fine as long as it's ilvl 64+) as they have the highest base aps, or alternately the Maraketh bow for the implicit 6% movespeed which will help compensate somewhat for Goldwyrm's low 10% increased MS.

A friend of mine has created a build help thread for those of you interested in developing your own builds or fine tuning other ones you're working on.

Thanks for the build, I just started it some days ago.

I am using Greed's Embrace, just because I have it, and I don't want to pay for a Carass Jack. Also I have got an Auseize, so I am using it as well. The result is I get a constant -15% movement speed.

My solution to this problem is, Maraketh Bow (6%) + Quicksilver Flask of Adrenaline. With some flasks nodes like Druidic Lite and Arcane Chemistry I can keep Quicksilver active during the whole fight, solve my mana problem, and more efficiently use Divination Distillate.

For long distance travel, I put Brightbeak + 3G Prismatic Eclipse in swapping weapon and use Leap Slam. Even with 0 attack speed from tree and other gears, the combo is still on par with Whirling Blades or Lightning Warp if not faster.

Part of that is because, Standard. Much easier to move stuff in proper challenge leagues, especially early on.

(Or if you're in Flashback, there's just way too much loot for rares to be worth that much, there's oversaturation in either case).

It's a common mistake people make running MF builds. They think suddenly they're just going to be rolling in expensive loot like it's some form of sorcery.

I can't stress this enough: the point of MF is not about getting GG loot. That's just the added benefit, like an extra shot of espresso in your coffee.

The central point of MF is the attrition-factor of farming: being able to generate a rapid amount of reliable currency simply from the hard grind. The alterations from vendors, the 6S drops, the chrome drops, the raw currency drops, the recipes, etc.

You will, of course, see better loot more often than you would without MF. And that helps too. But it's not the main goal. It's a secondary objective, if you will, and it's very much subject to RNG. You could go days without seeing anything significant, then suddenly one day you drop a Mjoner, an Andvarius, two Lightning Coils and an Alpha's Howl.

But for those days where you have bad RNG streaks, that's why MF still works extremely well: because you're still going to be steadily pulling in currency.

Yeah, I rarely get any uniques, I mean, I get some, definitly one every 2 or 3 maps but the only unique I've got so far that was worth anything was a egemony's era and even then it's only worth like 3 ex because as you can imagine, it just wouldn't drop as a 5L or 6L.

Also got a couple vaults of atziri but no good drops from there unfortunatly... Still I was aware that I wasn't going to be swiming in uniques and most certainly not GG uniques. The chances of a GG unique droping are close to winning a lotery even on a MF build. You may get lucky and it's certaintly more likely to happen than without any MF, however you should think that instead of a one in a million chance you improved your odds maybe by one or two percent.

Bad news: Vaal and promptly bricked it. HISSSSSSSSSS

Should have just sold it :p
So speaking of bad uniques, do you guys just vendor them?
Yep.

Most of them are a great source of alc shards.
