In 2013, I began trying to make EA viable after chasing DonTrafalgarLaw's ridiculous cold to fire EA build, before I knew it was bugged. I shortly figured out the bug, abused it for a week or two, then led a campaign for GGG to fix it.

After that I believe I was the first to make a legitimate viable EA build in pvp using a crit spec, until some others in 2014 (Slay, etc...) began overtaking me with better gear, trees, levels, etc...

There was a guy "Graham" (I believe his name was) that had a pretty good EA burn build previous to all this (early 2013), but I don't remember him specifically being a top tier build. I could be wrong.

That's the guy I was thinking about. I remember the team duels against and with him, then you made EA. Shortly after the cold to fire bug thread for EA and Bear Trap ha.

New players wont know these things but the OG's should not be forgotten. XDom,ComfortablyHigh,YourOriginal etc.. lots of dudes from beta that laid a pretty strong foundation for future builds. They just got swept away by wealthier but not always better players and/or new innovations. Funny the different "generations" of players/builds this games already gone through in such little time.
