Account Security and Theft Policy - READ THIS

Someone has pillaged my characters both on hardcore and default league, they've even taken my 5l chest and all the gems I had on it. This means (as they have taken all my currency) that I can not actually progress on this characters as I no longer have any gems, or the currency necessary to re-purchase them.

GG hackers, you've made my favourite game unplayable and I am unsure if I will actually be able to start again, if there is nothing that can be done to #1 stop these attacks, 2# return stolen items and 3# stop further attacks.

I understand the devs point of view, but this has never happened before to me in my many years of online games, so I just hope there are steps in the future to stop kind of behavior. You should at least have an authenticator for different ips, as I was not informed that suddenly, a Chinese IP was trying to log into my account, when I'm from the other side of the earth!

Always remember to use different password for different online accounts.

I almost thought somebody hacked my account too, today in fact, but it turns out it was because I had registered to accounts under the same email and they needed a verification on which one I wanted to use.
But yes, I don't want to see account hacking in the future with this game, since it's made locally here in my home country, New Zealand.
Otherwise I'm having a blast at this game, but I am hearing people talking about hacking etc and I'm not very happy. I've been in contact with the guys who run POE and i'm sure they're aware now.

Please Make a Good System I lost half my items lucky for me I'm still not high level yet but still F..k. I understand this kinda thing happens in games so I still support the Devs. Other then that the game rocks good job.

Today i logged in. Got pretty much nothing on my account. Obviously send email to GGG. After the asnwer which is obviously "we cant help u, read this topic" i going to quit. NOthing else to do for me ( 73 and 68 lvl without any items/currencies)

judging from how safe I am about my passwords, phishing, etc, as well as the comments from others here, I'm convinced this site was hacked, not me. I only started this game a few weeks ago so I haven't filled the extra stash slots I bought up yet, and didn't have a ton of currency, but if this happens again without any system of compensation implemented, I'm gone for good. never had this happen in the 15 years I've been gaming online

"Untradable versions" amount to "Bind on Account", and I for one hope GGG completely REFUSES to implement such a crappy idea into their game in any fashion save for the cosmetic purchases. NO BOAS!!!

Skill gems suffer no XP penatly. At all. So if you get yourself hacked, you can easily get a level 1 skill gem back up to par in no time.

I do agree with them replacing lost gems, but not necessarily at the previous level. So you have to put on some low level gear and farm Brutus for a bit. Don't get hacked then.

Got this same lose all orbs and some stuff
send email to GGG but they cant help...
Never get scammed in any game is my first time in 10 years

My orbs and some quality gems have gone. I used unique game password as always. So GGG are not going to give them back to us?

Its not my fault, I got them today at early morning, back from work and all gone..
