I just wanted to leave this note here at the end of my play on this character to let everyone know that Enki has really done a great job with this build, and he answered TONS of questions in his twitch stream early on in the league.
I was able to get to level 95, kill shaper easily and deathless eventually (first season killing him), clear elder T16 maps that were horrible mods with ease, and achieved 40/40 challenges all by playing his build. I'm fairly confident that if I put the time to learn the Uber Elder fight in that I would eventually get that as well, but I'm ready for flashback so I'm going to leave that for another day. After 4 tries in SSF, I just bought that Inpulsa in trade league :) Grats on your drop too, haven't gotten that or the ritual vial yet myself. Regular ilvl84+ bases are hardly worth crafting currently, if you gonna spend that much currency on something then it should be a good Shaper/Elder base. Only thing you could do is pick up white ilvl84+ rings/amulets, alch them and sell good results, keep the rest to use the 5 for 1 recipe if you can bothered. Your belt is pretty good, would be difficult to craft something better. If you feel lucky, spam some more essences on a seperate high ilvl Stygian Vise. Storm Weaver is probably your best bet if you gonna go for 93, if you just go for 92 then get Elemental Focus, which would give the same effect as the first two nodes leading to Storm Weaver but with a little more damage.

I assume it's not an issue anymore by now, but just for completion: you can wear an amulet with dexterity implicit, or get it on your rings. I'll work on improving this for next patch.

Looks like you already made lots of improvements, what you still could do for now is put Life on your ring and amulet with Elreon. And upgrade Pantheon if you haven't yet, it really helps.

You could get a Lv21 Vaal Arc and switch your helmet with an enchanted base, Lightning Golem Buff Effect should be pretty affordable. Since you have a leech Watcher's Eye you don't need MotC.

Max leech rate and attack speed are probably the only useful affixes on Elder Amulets for this build. If you wanna get some dex out of the base, you can vendor it together with an active skillgem of each color to get an Elder Onyx Amulet back. You could rebuild your gear in Path of Building to check the DPS impact of certain stuff. As for Sambar Sceptres and/or going all out on penetration, it's not initially better if you have to settle for lower rolls on the other DPS stats (like on my mastercrafted sceptre), but it gains a huge advantage in EE/resistance maps, makes the damage more consistent.

The initial cast doesn't count as chain, only everything after hitting the first enemy does. The wording on Arcs gem strengthens this and there's also no dev post implying otherwise.

Since i'm pretty much done with Incursion and the Flashback Race starts tomorrow, i've decided to give away my last spare 6L Inpulsa. It's already corrupted and the roll isn't the absolute best, but hey, it's still a functional 6L. This is the first non melee build I've tried since beta, been really enjoying the clear on it while leveling. It's a nice change from my usually build choices, and I appreciate you taking the time to write all this out to help other players. Good luck in flashback dude! |

Howdy.
Been playing POE for a while. Never really got to understanding a lot of the mechanics and synergies trying to follow the builds i have tried until yours. Really appreciate the effort you have put into this thread. Only have a new toon in Incursion and though not ready for the Inpulsa I do covet it. ;) Number I select is 80. Am using this guild in standard and it's the best I've played yet. Thanks Growing old is a fact of life, growing up is an option.
