Well, could you be more specific? Or give ideas for Enki to test out to possibly improve the build? Just saying that's rubbish and that people shouldn't use it doesn't do a whole lot for an argument.

Well funny you should say that because I AM A BEGINNER (ish this is only my second league)! So I don't know what to say or do to improve this build, so therefore for me; it's rubbish. I don't even know what cast when damage taken does when linked to desecrate!!! Nothing even happens so that is just useless?!!!!

Just gonna go back to my sunder and cyclone build because at least they are reliable; I'd say good attempt at a build but its not beginner friendly IMO- too confusing and hard to do the basics of the games (killing bosses- terrible single target damage).

@Megazillionz: I'm usually trying to be friendly to everyone, but the way you worded your comments won't deserve it. Instead of asking the questions you obviously have or considering that you may have made a mistake somewhere after being pointed to it by another user, you just put the blame on the build without giving anyone a chance to even look into your setup to fix what's wrong.
I get the feeling you just haven't carefully read the guide. I mean, the whole CwDt + Desecrate thing is explained in there, and so are probably all the other things you chose to completely overreact for. This guide has helped many completely new players this patch, and if there was an issue or something was unclear they were mature enough to ask instead of throwing a huge fit. I've played D3 for years so PoE is somewhat familiar to me in terms of the general "feel" of the game. Your guide was instrumental in my enjoyment as a new player. A lot of guides assume certain things about the reader. Yours takes us from baby steps thru leveling.

It was wrong of me to lash out but I guess I feel this build just isn't for me; I did spend hours and hours trying to fix and but it was just really frustrating. I am dyslexic aswell so sorry if things were badly structured. Although, I did find your build very helpful in terms of leveling but upon reaching level 55, I suddenly found it difficult to stay alive- I was also playing with a friend and their build wasn't "great", so maybe because enemies are scaled in a party this would contribute to the problems I was receiving? Would you choose inpulsa's over a rare with 6L chest?
I'm using inpulsa's and doing fine on lower tier maps. But that means I don't have the 6L set-up (it only has 3 sockets) for ball of lightning and causes my single target DPS against bosses to be pretty bad. Other than that I clear maps very easily. I'm just wondering if I should swap out the inpulsa's in favor of a rare 6L and get the ball of lightning set-up complete. Thanks for your comments. |

@Megazillionz: That's a fair point, i accept your apology. Didn't know about your Dyslexia so i have to apologize aswell. Next time anything is unclear, not just in this guide but anywhere , please just ask. Party play definitely contributed to the issues you've experienced, especially if the other build couldn't make up for party scaling. This build gets much better once you switch to the endgame setup and have everything set in place, but if you already don't like the playstyle then there's probably no point pushing it this far. Rather try other builds until you find what you enjoy. Goodluck! @Truppensturm: If you have a Tabula Rasa around, try a few maps and see if the clearspeed loss is bearable for you. If yes, get yourself some cheap 6L chest and try to casually 6L your Inpulsa's with jewelers/fuses from mapping. twitch.tv/enkivt
