GGG, Stop using double standards.

You told us "If we change value on item, this item stay legacy. If we change mechanic of item, this changes apply to all items".

So what we see now?
"
"Atziri's Acuity: The modifier that makes leech apply instantly on critical strikes now has it apply instantly at 60% effectiveness. Existing versions of this item are affected by this change."

- This is VALUE changes from 100% leech efficiency to 60% - but you change the TEXT, so TEXT = mechanic?! The mod does the SAME (instaleech) but just LESS (by changing value or adding a reduction mod, whatever).

Wrong. Straight leech to 60% version of vaal pact is a mechanic change. It's literally vaal pact @ 60%. A keystone on an item is a mechanic change.

"
"
"Lightning Coil: Damage conversion has been reduced from 40% to 30%."

- This is VALUE change, i hope you do the LEGACY version right?

Yes.

- Oh, but you DO - ITEM QUANTITY GEM!

Wrong, that's a support gem.

The legacy stuff distorts PoE gameplay and even ruins it at some points. I can afford losing my legacy shavronnes and soultakers and other shit if GGG decides to play fair.

No, it just ruins your personal experience of the game. There's no distortion on the gameplay whatsoever.

I played this game for a ridiculous amount of time to feel OP. This took a lot of time. Time that's now wasted. High end crit builds that took a lot of time to achieve and were something to aspire to are now at what, a third of their effectiveness?

While I don't necessarily disagree with the point you and several others have made about time invested in order to get a pair of Acuity gloves, and while the nerf is hard yes, they will still be very powerful, and so will Acuity. Your build isn't bricked, you'll still see it OP.

If my estimates are correct, your net damage loss will be roughly 18%. Significant, but for crit builds, definitely manageable.

Fixed. ;)

GGG please explain why have you nerfed melee since 1.1. Life leech killed, armour dosent work, max res nodes removed from tree, Desync is still the same, Block killed, all melee gems scale of weapons and not of gem leveling, acro killed. To top it off if you dont go crit you cant dps WTF.

Nicely put -- wondering the same.

I'm also curious about this, as the new reactive gem descriptions basically just say you will hit stuff back that has hit you (or that you blocked, but that is laughable as block chance will be pathetic). They do not help you actually deal with the damage itself. So melee gets a chance to do extra damage, while getting way less defense... seems like a nerf and not a buff to me.

I don't really mind the changes - some seem fair some see over the top, but all in all I'm ok with it.

What I don't get is that TS stayed unchanged, that thing is op. I'm expecting to see alot of TS build this season ;)

I played TS during the 1 week, clearing lvl75+ maps with a Death's Harp without any problems...

I am pretty happy for these changes but that may be because I never played coc/block ect builds. Always treat new changes as a challenge, learn and adapt, put my tiny bird brain to work and have some fun!

Btw. All the crying makes me think how spoiled gaming communities are these days. Makes me wonder whether you act the same in real life too.

Thanks for Immortal Flesh update, looks like a nice belt for hybrid build now.
I AM MAD

Leech is fine, armour needs work yes, res is fine, desynch needs work yep, block needed a nerf, there's no way melee could scale off gems ever, acro's fine, non-crit builds are fine.

Still no Ek buff? what a shame...

EK is fine, built one myself, 27K dps non-crit, which is insanely good for EK.

Its hard to get my head around it all really, the question for me is do I want to change my builds majorly every 3-4 months. Seems to be GGG's plan for me.
The block and crit nerfs are justifiable. But I didn't expect such a big nerf on Increased Critical Damage. From 149% to 79% for a 20/20 gem. That's harsh.

Also, I'm surprised there hasn't been some kind of buff to melee and nerf to Tornado shot. Last league, Tornado builds were everywhere.

And while there's 50+ pages here of people crying about nerfs, I'm upset that there's no mention of any kind of engine optimizations. That coupled with next patch focusing on PvP, which I find completely pointless in these types of games, means I have no interest in playing PoE till next Act comes.

Patch looks like utter garbage. In aother news Shavs now despawns 30 seconds after it drops.
ctrl+f "reduce" :D

I love these changes.

I'm going to make:

Melee - No Crit armour based Duelist/Maru

DEAL WITH IT it's valid and possible
