[3.10] Sovyn's Lazy Pally - Tanky Templar with Max Block
" The damage is good now, easily over 100K DPS effective at endgame which is pretty great for one handed melee compared to how it was just a year ago. Especially for only 4 ex budget. Maybe try Cyclone as the attack skill choice with the build if you like fast paced play. Only thing is you will get stuck on terrain now and again, just not ideal game design but that's how it is. Don't forget to carry quicksilver flasks also if speed is important to you. |

Thoughts on the new Sunder skill for the lazy pally?

" The latest one I posted. Enjoy! |

" Looks interesting. It is highly directional (narrower than ground slam) which means careful placement becomes necessary which I am not a huge fan of. I'll be looking closely at it and Earthquake as well. Also if either of these skills doesn't generate effectively over 100K DPS it won't keep up with static strike for boss kills and we only really have room for one skill. By the way I wouldn't mind switching main attack skill to freshen things up, but it has to make sense. |

Ascendancy looks like it's going to open up a world of choices for this particular build.
It looks like every class has at least one subclass option that would work to enhance the build. It's going to be hard to decide on what I want to do for the temp league come March 4. |

" Hard to beat 75 block / 75 spell block + super damage boost from Inquisitor. All for 4 ex. Going to be pretty insane. |

" That may be true, but those options are all there and should be fun to play around with. I mean didn't you already have 75/75 block before? Depending on what you want to do, you have a lot of options. My Scion looks to be getting 6% block and 30% spell block (and 2 passive points). That's a pretty good boost. Once I can gear out of that, she has a ton of fun options. For a new character in a temp league playing solo self found, I don't really worry about min/maxing as much as I do with whats fun to play. I see 9 sub-classes that each have slightly different interactions here (I think that's pretty cool). 9 flavors of Lazy Pally :) |

" Yes before the block nerf about a year ago I was using Rathpith Globe and Anvil to get that. Not since. Not that 14% less spell block made any noticeable difference. It can't hurt to max it back up again though and we can do it with a better shield now in 2.2 (lioneye's). One small problem with Scion is that she won't have enough INT to equip doryani's without sacrificing something to get it. She also takes three points to get 18 resists whereas you can get 15 resists for one point at Mara. Finally, the block points there are the weakest on the tree, Command of Steel is much better for the three points as you get 110% defenses from equipped shield, that's a lot of armour with Lioneye's. I know the Scion hype train is at full speed today but Inquisitor is going to be a lot more damage than anything a Scion can get with my build. Scion will work, just not optimal. I'll probably make some new videos after 2.2 comes out to prove it. If anyone can beat my clear times in the new videos with same gear and similar tree but without Inquisitor, only difference being start class and ascendancy class, I'd be impressed. By all means have fun with whatever it is you like though. |
